I haven't worn a watch in a good 6 years. Been depending on the Cell phone clock. But due to limited reception, I've been out having fun with limited concept of time. This watch is so light weight that I barely know I am wearing one. I have had it for a week and it has survived Rocky trail hiking, Mountain biking, Yard work and a Bluegrass show and is still ticking and scratch free. Real easy to clean. I picked it up at the local store and they only had the Black Face/ Black Band version, which looks real good and have had a few compliments. My only complaint ( It seems unanimous) is the the extra band clip paint wears off fast. Noticed in the corners first two days, and it keeps coming. I may cash in on the three year warranty. I supposes it makes it look like I've been through some real hardcore treks? But barely noticeable. Over all totally worth it, now if they can only incorporate a thermometer in it...

Wow, nice to see REI carrying these watches (I am a REI regular). I purchased this specific watch at a non-REI location several years ago. This watch is absolutely bomb-proof. You can't hurt this watch no matter how extreme your lifestyle or your play. I purchased this watch after losing outdoor watches every year or so to abuse, I suspect this one will out live me. As to the paint coming off the buckle, yeah, it's called patina. Remarkably, the watch band is still intact long after paint has been "polished" off. A quick toss into the washer, and the band lives on for a long time. The fact that this titanium watch is inexpensive is our little secret.

I love watches! I don't own many, I usually wear the old one out and then start hunting for a new one. I first saw this one listed in Wired Magazine as one of this year's best guy gifts. After some quick research I knew I wanted it.

I've only owned it for about a week, but have enjoyed every minute it's been on. Wait, I haven't taken it off yet!

Already, I've run, swam, weight lifted, drove, worked on my rover, and even wrestled with the nephews for hours with it. By the way, it doubles as a great shield for flying left hooks from 7 year olds.

It's the most practical watch I've ever gotten, but love that I can wear it out and it still flows with nice wardrobe. The size was perfect for me. After reading another post I was a little worried, but it was exactly the size I expected.

My only concern was the band. It took a couple days for the band to soften up and my forearm to get used to it. But as I imagined I can't even fell it and forget it's on. My only suggestion might be a backlight feature. The hands glow, but as with most only for an hour or so. Although, a quick point blank blast from the old iPhone does a great job insta-charging them.

All in all, great watch! I am going to order the black as well....

First-off, the band-through-body construction adds a whole other level of confidence to this product. No more being burned by broken pins and straps. The build quality of this timepiece leaves little to be desired.

This item was purchased just before a two-week surf trip, and it has been a trooper though-and-through. It looks great, is easy to read, not too heavy, but not too light. Personally, I hate gargantuan, bulky watches. This guy is about the perfect size and weight.

It tells time and date. That's it. But it does that very well. My only initial regret was that it is not back-lit. The hands are glow-in-the-dark, which amazingly enough, are readable even after 8-hours of darkness. Good enough.

I'm usually pretty picky about my watches. I like to try them on first to see how they look and feel. I also don't like a lot of bells and whistles. I just want to know what time it is.
This watch is lightweight and durable. I've banged mine up a few times already and haven't seen a scratch yet.
I read a lot of reviews about this watch before buying and a lot of people complained that the black paint on the clasp comes off easy. This is true. Second day I had it, I already noticed, but I sure didn't care. Just made it look like I had already done some kind of daredevil activity while wearing it.
This is by far, the best watch I have ever owned.

I work outside all day, on a farm, in dusty, dirty, muddy, tough conditions. Lots of moving around, lots of handling tools and equipment. I was looking for a simple watch that would stand the work. I was immediately disappointed, as the construction and materials looked sub-par. It quickly showed signs of scratching and wear (not a problem in itself, given the work conditions) but then condensation turned up under the glass crystal, and that was it for me. I returned it.

Ive had this watch for about a year now and I really love the style and fit of the watch on my wrist. The nylon band is extremely comfortable and doesnt wear out easily, in fact its gets better with age. The paint does scrap off of the watch band metal but it just adds character. I have had some issues with it just stop working for no apparent reason but the customer service from Burtucci is outstanding, I just sent it to them and they replaced it for free. [...] IMO you cant buy a better watch for the money.

Whats nice about this watch is that there are no real letdowns. If your looking for a simple, tough, smartly built time piece at a reasonable price, this is it. And you get what you pay for.

I have used it for a variety of normal activities from going to work to kayaking. There are several things that make this watch stand out from others that I would consider to be in the same category of "style".

1. it is made of titanium- which makes it tough and light
2. the band is nice and comfortable, and literally strong
3. there are no band pins, the band routes under the watch and through... (frankly put), solid titanium bars
4. the bezel or rim of the watch is higher than the glass, this helps to protect the glass from scratches
5. it is very easy to switch/replace the band should you need to(no pins). If the buckle did break for some reason you could literally just use a piece of cloth tied around your wrist to hold the watch on (in a pinch of course).

I do still use a digital watch for most recreational activities because of the additional data that is given other than time and date. And in many activities (for me anyway) if I dont have a lot of time to look at my watch, a digital is quicker. Also, for traveling, if you go through different time zones on a regular bases it is not as easy with an analogue to set the correct time as with a digital (just some things to consider).

That being said, for day-to-day use when I dont need to know the barometric pressure, temp., humidity level, Altitude or tide schedule, etc... The simplicity and pragmatic approach to the function of time telling that Bertucci designs into its products is form in itself and I would highly recommend it for that function alone.

I normally lean towards watches that have gadgets and features, so this purchase is a bit of a diversion. I love the light feel, and classic look. The watch band is nice, but I'll probably replace it with a "The band" type strap eventually anyway. The one piece design, with no pins, is perfect for strap type watches.

The watch does look great, the crystal is scratch resistant, the band is just average (needs replacement after a year or so). DO NOT use this watch in a pool, water will leak and damage the machinery.
