Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
Practically perfect: light, long enough to reach the bottom corners of a boil-in-bag meal without getting your hands dirty, easy to use wearing gloves. The shape of the spoon really does work as advertised.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
I love this spoon because it reaches to the very bottom of my Jetboil cup so that I can eat every little bit of food that I have cooked in it. It is easy to reach and scrape the entire bottom clean. And the spoon is shaped so that it holds a goodly amount of food with each bite.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
Love the long handle and lightweight Ti. Chose this over Sea to Summit because of the silky smooth (stainless steel-like) finish, even though its $2 more. Sturdy with a great shape for scooping down into a bag of freeze dried. Has a hole on the end of the handle to loop a cord through, tie it to your pack.No complaints. Love this spoon, use it all the time. Thanks REI. Now, if only REI could make a long handled TI spork....

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
I've had this spoon for over 5 years now and it is in perfect condition. First of all if you eat dehydrated meals in a pouch then make sure to get this spoon. It's long handle is what sets it apart from others. No more messy fingers from trying to dig the last bits out of the bottom of the bag. The shape of the spoon is just right to get the perfect scoop on it and clean out the corners. Being from REI's Ti collection it weighs practically nothing and is super strong. Mine has no dents, dings or bends in it and I usually carry it on the outside center pocket.
Bottom line: If you eat dehydrated pouch meals you need this spoon.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
I love this spoon! After getting the tips of my fingers coated with food after eating out of the bag one too many times I found myself wishing there was a solution to the problem!
A few days later I found myself in the cookery section at my local REI store; lo and behold, they had exactly what I was looking for! It's lightweight, very easy to clean and extremely durable!
Though I wish they did have a 'spork' version of this, I primarily use this spoon as part of my camp kitchen gourmet set up. It makes a fantastic mixing spoon.
Unlike one of the reviews, I actually have no problem with the weight. It's light enough for me that I don't even notice it. After calibrating my digital scale, mine weighed in at .49 ounces; just under a half ounce! The listed weight is .4, so the listed weight is plenty accurate!

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
This spoon is really great. Similar to other reviewers I was amazed at how sturdy it is. It is very thin and light and versitile. It stirs the food in backcountry food pouches with ease and without getting goopy fingers.
We of course use it for eating. It's shape makes it good for ordinary spoon foods and soup because of the slightly wider-than-standard end. Worth the money.
The only drawback (and this is very minor) is the long length is tricky to pack inside other cooking utensils. Such is life. I wouldn't want it shorter.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
I bought this because the advertised weight was .25 oz. It turns out that is wrong; the actual weight is .65 oz. My plastic spoon is only .4 oz and the UL TI spoon on [@] is .39 oz. The spoon is solid and has no functional problems, it's just not as advertised.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
This spoon solves my utensil problem. No more messy fingers when eating from freeze dried meal bags. No need to cut the tops of those bags off.
I don't ever find myself needing a tines so a fork/spork was never useful.
This spoon is all I ever need and I hope I don't ever lose it!

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
If you need a good spoon to stir the pot, and tough enough to backpack, this is it! I love the light weight and strength of Titanium.

Comments about REI Ti Ware Long-Handle Spoon:
This works great with the freezer bag meals I use for backpacking. Other Titanium sporks I've used are either too short for the bag or the tines (pointy part) puncture the bag. With this gem I can stir my food, keep my fingers out of the goop and not worry about springing a leak.
