Comments about Fritschi Diamir Free Ride Plus Randonee Bindings with Brakes:
I think this is the most reliable and rugged AT binding in the market. [...] I do think the new "Power Transmission Control" delivers (perhaps it's all in my head). The little red tab - "anti inta-tele" is also a great little upgrade for allowing ski to flex naturally. Elevator works great. After taking abuse from tele-friends years ago ("what's french for can't ski?"), I've seen several shift over to Randonee - in part due to the function and convenience of the Fritchi.I've owned and skied the last three generations of the free ride (gray, white, & now black/red) and see the Free Ride Plus as the best evolution. These bindings are expensive kit but a worthwhile investment.I do ski this inbounds and backcountry, and these binders serve well in both.

Comments about Fritschi Diamir Free Ride Plus Randonee Bindings with Brakes:
Probably the best all-around AT binding on the market; burly enough for the frontside but light enough for the backcountry. If you're mostly a cliff-hucker, get the Marker Dukes; if you're a weight-weenie, get Dynafits; but if you want something that'll get you through pretty much anything, these are a great choice.

Comments about Fritschi Diamir Free Ride Plus Randonee Bindings with Brakes:
Good downhill performance, easy to mount, easy entrance, durable. FR+ anti-instatele is huge improvement. Pivot is far forward of boot toe, results in clunky Frankenboot feeling on uphill. Clunky to carry on pack (compared to Dynafit). Good "one rig" binding if >80% is in lift area, <20% is skinning in the backcountry. Much heavier than Dynafit, but lighter than Naxo.

Comments about Fritschi Diamir Free Ride Plus Randonee Bindings with Brakes:
The Free Ride Plus is a performer in going up the backcountry with 3 tilt settings that are easy to adjust. Easier then alpine mountaineering up the same slope in the summer, less strain on the tendons.
Binding is so good, that when I purchased a Randonee powder ski, the Free Ride Plus was a must.
A stiff Randonee boot and these bindings make going through the trees and steep chutes a blast, whether on downhill or backcountry adventures.

Comments about Fritschi Diamir Free Ride Plus Randonee Bindings with Brakes:
LOVE THIS BINDING. EASY TO MOUNT. VERY STABLE AND RELIABLE. VERY LITTLE FLEX...FEELS LIKE A FULL OUT APLINE BINDING. FOUR DIFFERENT CLIMBING POSITIONS (FLAT, 1ST, 2ND TOP).
