    I bought this tool to install a new Dura Ace bottom bracket. The new Dura ace has a smaller diameter cup and required me to inset a pvc adapter into the tool. The end result functioned correctly, installed cleanly with no marring and I am happily riding the new bb and crankset.

    This tool works just fine a bottom bracket tool. However similar tools (Park BBT-9 and SpinDoctor integrated BB tool) also include the 8 point bit used to install the Shimano Hollow Tech II crank arms. No one sells this part separately.

    If you are looking at this tool to install a Hollow Tech II BB and crank, look at the other tools I listed above. Otherwise this is a fine wrench.
