Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
So far this pack has proved to be all that I look for in a pack. It's versatile enough that it works for weekend trips to NYC and a 5-day trek in and out of the Grand Canyon!
PROS: It fits in overhead compartments on airplanes (with the sleepmat unattached) which means no waiting for luggage; the webbing on the back is extraordinarily comfortable - one of the most comfortable packs I have ever worn, even with close to 50 lbs packed inside!; the multitude of pockets is great for organizing; the ergonomic hip belt adds to the comfort.
CON (ONLY ONE!): My one and only complaint is that for weekend trips, everything needs to be unpacked as soon as I reach my destination. It is somewhat difficult to access intems in the large inside compartment. But this is true of many packs.

Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
Pack fits great and pack every well I love having the sleeping bag compartment. It has just the right amount of pockets helps me keep track of the small stuff. I love the air core it makes a hug difference the pack I used last year stuck to me and in the hot weather that is not good.
My pack weight was about 38 pounds and I was able to get everything in with out a problem and the pack held up great.

Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
My wife has this bag I have the Men's version. They are both very comfortable! One drawback is the loss of space in the main compartment because of the internal frame. You can use this space (between the mess and material)to hang a water bladder with carabiners. The small pockets on the hipbelt are good for snacks, a beanie, bandana, head lamps, or a camera. The bag straps down very well. There are plenty of compartments to use. The only non functional thing about this bag is the side pockets. The straps cover them and make them inexcessible.
I love the bag and it is great for overnight and multiday hikes!

This pack is awsome. It is extremely comfortable, I have never had such a comfortable pack. I can comfortably carry up to 42 lbs in this pack. It has lots of pockets easy to pack up. It is very durable. It has a wonderful sleeping bag straps on the bottom. We hike all over in the Adirondacks during the winter and this pack is awsome.

I love the vent space along the back. This pack also fits very well on a woman's body, I found it to be the most comfortable pack I have owned. Perfect size for week long hikes.

Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
Very comfy if you don't overload it (minimal padding). Takes up to 40 lbs decently, really comfy with less than that. Rides well. Bear can takes some ingenuity to fit in, but works well upright at the top of the pack (stays make it difficult any other way). Front pocket dries backcountry laundry well. Airspeed back panel is breathable and helps keep you cool. Great for 5-day or less backpacks.

Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
I have had this pack for 2 yrs. Great pack for weekend trips in which you can keep the weight on the lower end of the scale (<25 lbs). Used it recently for several longer/heavier trips and highly regretted the decision...as it became apparent very quickly that pushing the weight was a big mistake(carried a little over 30 lbs for a trip of 9 miles over varied terrain with steady elevation gain, and 5 miles of flat for a total of 14), and had issues 15 minutes into the trip. Back pain, collar bone bruising, and straps dug into my shoulders. Not alot of padding or support..however it's meant to be a light pack, so it wasn't expected to have those features. (I just didn't realize the lack of them would be such a big deal!)However, used this pack for a 20 mile loop hike in the Adirondacks last summer with about 15-20 lbs weight and was just fine.
I was obviously using an ultralight pack for loads that it isn't meant to carry comfortably, so I've now switched to the Gregory Deva 60 with more padding, lumbar support, and better stability for larger loads and love it.
The Aura 65 does have super capacity though...able to fit a -15 bag in the sleeping bag compartment, carry 2 extra sets of clothes, tent, sleeping pad, trekking poles, stove, fuel, food etc without issues. The outer stretchy pocket is a nice convenience for rain gear etc, and the hip belt mesh zip pockets are awesome for chapstick, snacks, etc that need to be readily and easily accessible. Keeps you highly organized...but the top load only can be somewhat of an inconvenience as you may have to dig to find things.
Overall, I would highly recommend this pack for short weekend type trips or if you're a minimalist that can survive with just the essentials in the pack to keep the weight down.

Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
I just bought this bag and am taking it right back after its first trial run. Put 23 pounds in it to do a practice hike and after 5 minutes felt incredibly uncomfortable on the lower back. One detail I overlooked while deciding on which pack I wanted: this one has NO padding on the lower back area. If it did, it would be a pretty darn good bag. Even a light weight pack should have SOME padding along the lower back - instead, this pack has a hard seam there! Other things I did not like: the zippered compartment to the mesh area, which is the alternative area to put your water bladder, is difficult to zip up again. I feel this would break eventually if I were intending to keep the pack.

Comments about Osprey Aura 65 Pack - Women's:
While the open mesh on the back makes for air flow, it takes a lot of room out of the pack. The pack seems like it could fit a lot, but it really doesn't. Not to mention the waist straps are flemsy and it gets really uncomfortable when full and heavy.

Very comfortable, similar to an external frame. No sweaty backs here!
