Comments about Seirus Jam Master II Wrist Guards:
I am certain these wrist guards have saved me from injury. They brace the wrist from both the top and the bottom which is key when hyperextension is the real risk. These work best underneath big chopper mittens. You can put them over thin cotton gloves inside your mittens if it is really cold, but you would not want to wear these on the outside of bigger gloves. Also, x-large choppers are best, since the guards are a bit bulky.

Comments about Seirus Jam Master II Wrist Guards:
The main problem that I have with these is that they are not at all snow or waterproof. The cloth is rather fuzzy and attracts all the snow that it touches. Also, once equipped, the velcro is still uncovered, which also attracts snow. Finally, as they go over your gloves, snow has a tendency to pack under them, and over your gloves. By lunch time my sleeves, gloves, and of course wrist guards are soaked, and it it not fun to put them back on for the afternoon.
The other thing I have issue with is that, when worn, they make simple things difficult to do, such as strap in bindings. They are also a bit difficult to put on because of the fact that they go over your gloves, and so you would have to put them on while wearing gloves.
However with that said, these wrist guards do their job well. The rounded portion covering the base of the palm helps guide impact away from the wrists if you have a habit of catching yourself with your open palms. They also have guards on both the front and back of your hands, whereas many other guards only have support on the palm side. They also look more durable than the other ones in the store. I will keep using mine until I feel that I don't need them anymore, or if I find gloves with built in wrist guards.
