Comments about Pearl Izumi AmFIB Bike Tights - Women's:
I had my first pair when I used to commute to work about 17 miles roundtrip, in all weather, in New England. These tights aren't waterproof, but they did a great job keeping me warm even when damp, and in Boston weather conditions, fall through early spring, they were a godsend. I wore them for years, until I wore enough holes into them to make it look like mice had nibbled my butt! I'm investing in my 2nd pair now that the weather's cold again. I only wear them to bike in, so I can't attest to any annoying swishing sound that other reviewers note when wearing them to jog in, but I have a friend whom I talked into getting a pair, one of those people who loathe cold weather, and now she won't walk or jog without them.

Comments about Pearl Izumi AmFIB Bike Tights - Women's:
I wear these tights over padded shorts. I bought them for fall mountain biking, but couldn't really wear them until it got cold out. Anything above 50F and I was sweating just standing in the parking lot.
They are pretty comfortable once you get over the wetsuit-like feeling. The inside is a nice fleecey material, very pleasant against my skin.
These tights are surprisingly long. I'm 6'1". There's only a small gap between the bottom of the tights and my riding socks.
The AmFIB material does a great job at blocking the wind. I don't usually ride in the rain, but these did well when I got caught in some unexpected sprinkles.
The tights seem to insulate pretty well even when wet (with sweat). The back panels breathe well while riding. But, they also let wind in if you stop on the trail. I got a little chilly while changing a flat on a cold, breezy morning, but that's not really the tights' fault.
Beware - you will not be able to sneak up on anyone! Walking around, these tights are louder than the corduroy pants I had as a kid. But, I don't notice any noise on the bike.

Comments about Pearl Izumi AmFIB Bike Tights - Women's:
These tights are really great for cold weather. I wear them over my cycling shorts or by themselves if I feel like going to a run when it's cold outside (although they do tend to make an annoying swishing sound when you run- this isn't a problem on a bike). Cold wind and rain don't bother me at all when I am wearing these, and the lengths work well for me.

Wore the pants in 40 degree weather - was never cold. Nice fit - not bulky anywhere. Designed perfectly for riding. Plan on wearing in the winter for brisk walks.

I really like the wind blocking material in the front. They are excellent on the cold rainy days. Also great with thin padded shorts you can add underneath.
