Comments about Atlas 718 Junior Snowshoes:
My kid loves these. He had some Spider Man snowshoes before, but they didn't have crampons and these do. They are expandable and will last him a while. I haven't had any issues with the binding coming off (we've used them 5 or 6 times now), but I could see how that could possibly happen. My kid loves them because they look like adult snowshoes and he no longer slips up the hills.

Comments about Atlas 718 Junior Snowshoes:
These snowshoes are nice, except for one thing. The person who designed them, made them with removable bindings. They call them "children's bindings", I call them plain old stupid. The rear bindings slide and come off. My kids worn them once, and when we went to put them on the next day, one of them was missing a binding. We are trying to find a replacement, but so far there has been no response from Atlas, and REI doesn't sell them. Save yourself the hassle, buy better bindings. You WILL lose these ones, they come off way too easily.
