The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
This is the warmest thin glove I have tried. I work outside with horses all winter long and can't use a bulky glove to get my work done. These gloves got me through the brutal Wisconsin winter of 2008!

I live in Alaska and wear these gloves almost every day in the winter. Super comfy and very warm for the weight.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
I use these gloves every day fall, winter, spring. They last one season but are worth every penny every year because:
1. They are not bulky in my coat pocket, so if I don't want them on, they don't get in the way or make buckling seatbelt annoying.
2. easy on and off
3. protect hands in cold, windy or damp weather
4. MOST IMPORTANT. I have 3 kids. I can push all the buttons on the minivan keychain without taking gloves off, can buckle and unbuckle kids in carseats without taking gloves off, can tie kids shoes, do velco, zip zippers, etc without taking gloves off, can lock and unlock house without taking gloves off.
No, not the best for making snowmen or hiking in the rain. But work great shoveling the driveway and doing all the day to day fall, winter, spring functions with kids and warm unchapped hands!

These are not the exact gloves that I bought, but close enough. Very disappointed. Wore these on a windy day on Kilimanjaro, and my fingers were very cold. They are not windproof on their own, might be better with a liner glove or used inside larger mittens.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
Bottom line: I am returning these gloves ASAP.
Cons:
1)I wore these gloves backpacking in Yellowstone for a week in late May, where it rained, snowed and sleeted every 10 minutes. As other reviewers have stated, these gloves were "water resistant" for about 30 minutes. Then they readily soaked up the water and stayed wet and COLD. They did not dry out in the tent or my sleeping bag.
2)In an effort to keep dry and warm, I often put my hands into my jacket or pants pockets. The pockets have velcro on them and the velcro tore up the fabric of the gloves.
3) Once wet, these tight-fitting gloves are nearly impossible to take off and put back on. Drove me nuts.
3) Size-wise, the fingers are too short for my average-to-longish fingers
Pros:
1) good grips on palm, thumb and fore-finger.
2) warm enough for cool dry weather.
3) thin enough to keep on for around-camp work (though don't try undoing guy-line knots with 'em!)
Not recommended for use with trekking poles (because your hands are constantly exposed to the elements), or for extended trips in which the weather might be unpredictable.

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
I love these gloves because they are warm and allow a good degree of tactile functioning. They are extremely durable and have not frayed or become worn despite a heavy season of outdoor recreation and daily wear. I use them alone on a daily basis, and as a liner with my heavy duty ski-style North Face gloves when snowshoeing. They repel mositure and are reasonably good looking. Be aware that they are form-fitting. I'm buying a spare pair because I like them so much - they've kept my fingers warm and happy!

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
I hike a lot and I usually use hiking poles. I wore these gloves in a moderate drizzle in the mountains today and discovered that they weren't waterproof as they claim. They are windproof and will resist a little bit of water, but definitely aren't waterproof. They began to absorb water after 30 minutes which resulted in freezing hands. I took the gloves off and hung them to dry when I got home, but I still had to wring water out of them because they were taking such a long time to dry. The gloves do, however, offer good grip and are thin enough to offer good hand maneuverability. Just don't expect to protect your hands in wet conditions. The gloves will get soaked, won't dry quickly, and will keep your hands cold and soggy. Great gloves for non-rainy conditions though!

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
I was looking for a thin liner that could also be used solo for light wind and rain protection, and this is definitely the glove! The pads provide friction/grip, so they're great on cold class 4 morning climbs. The provide the perfect amount of breath-ability for protection while doing cold-weather aerobic activity like X-country skiing. My only gripe is that I have to buy one pair per year!

Comments about Seirus Hyperlite All-Weather Gloves - Women's:
I bought these for using while backpacking in the summer in the Sierras, for when it rained or was very windy or cold. I use hiking poles, so wanted protection for my exposed hands in bad weather. They're great in wind and light mist. I used them hiking in Yosemite up to the top of Yosemite falls, in wind, mist, some hail and temporary light rain and they were good. But this past weekend I used them in the Mojave Desert when I was out in a long-lasting downpour. The gloves wetted out very quickly, and then my hands were freezing. I finally took them off and hid my hands in the long sleeves of my eVent rainjacket, which did the trick. Luckily I was not using hiking poles. It rained all day and night and the gloves never dried out til I got home. I didn't have them next to me tho - maybe if I had they would have dried quicker. So - I was disappointed because when I really needed them, they weren't there for me! I'm still looking for the perfect pair.
