Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

I love patagonia underwear but these were extremely uncomfortable because I have a pretty womanly shape (as in big hips and meaty thighs) and where the tops of my thighs rub together, the boy shorts ride up and bunch up by the crotch. Not a good feeling. They do not stay in place well like other boy shorts undies I have. I wouldn't recommend these unless you're built like a 12 year old boy with legs that go straight down from your pelvis without touching eachother.

I really like my regular patagonia panties, but these were not good for my body type. I am 5'7", and 135 lbs, a size 6/8. I am not able to wear them at all, they are too uncomfortabe, as they ride up right away.

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

These feel amazing - until I put on my pants. Then the legs roll up and feel bulky under my clothes. I've even tried wearing my most baggy pants and they still roll up. I'm not sure if it's just the friction or what. Similar to other reviewers, if you have stick straight legs, you may enjoy them. I have a very slim friend who loved them. She also wears skirts a lot of the time so maybe that's why. If you can, go try these on. You want to be able to wear them all the time when you spend so much on underwear!

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

Reviewed these in 2008. Seeing the mixed reviews, seems like time for an update: I still love these!!!

These are pretty much the only underwear I wear. Might seem spendy but the pairs from before my 2008 review still don't show ANY wear. That would be black, machine washed on cool & hung dry. (I guess you could count the tastefully fading Patagonia imprint as "wear" but could care less about the logo.)

On fit: for my height/weight - 5ft 115lbs - I have a big butt, smaller waist & big thighs. Genetically muscular, which used to really embarrass me. So I'm definitely not a stick figure. In fact, finding pants is hell because if they fit in the butt/thighs, usually way too big in the waist (& too long of course). Size small in this underwear fits me fine; I have some x-small from a sale which are OK too.

Shared my details because I really like this underwear, want Patagonia to keep making it & maybe the other reviews might be scaring you off. So, these might be worth a try if you like the look.

Also, it's nice to have underwear you can go swimming in in a pinch, or not worry about when you wear a skirt. (And practical can be sexy too.)

These are SO comfy and look cute, but the legs ride up! It only bothers me because it makes them feel bulky under my pants. I love just lounging around the house in them though.

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

I really love these. They do not ride up on me, but from what I have heard, they are capable of creeping. They are incredibly light weight and are really easy to hard wash. This is the only pair of underwear I take when I am hiking, no matter how long I am out for.

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

I own a few pairs and have had them for years. They are still in perfect shape except for the Padagonia logo that's coming off, which is normal for a screen print. If you love boy shorts, you will love these, they are so comfortable. I haven't gotten a single wedgie with these at all! They wash great, I usually line dry them, but I'm sure they would do great in the dryer as well.

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

I am slim... but not skinny. I am 5'6 and about 130-135 lbs. I love these panties. They are my favorites. I own two pairs. My hubby thinks they are very flattering and I LOVE the way they feel. They are seamless, stretch. They don't ride up when I'm out hiking. They aren't hot... they breath. I don't wear them with my super tight pants... but then.. I don't hike in super tight pants either. I highly recommend them! You'll hate cotton after these!

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

Bought two pairs because they were on sale. Wasn't sure about the sizing in the store because I was trying them on over my underwear, but I got the small, and they fit fabulously. These are the only boy shorts I've worn that don't ride up and give me a wedgie! They're really soft, and dry very quickly. I can't wait to take them bike-touring to wear when I'm not on the bike, and I'll probably buy another pair (or two) before I go!

Comments about Patagonia Active Boy Shorts - Women's:

Bought for a month long backpacking trip through Vietnam. Was not disappointed!! Washed these in the sink and they dried in very little time. Unlike most synthetic material, they do not retain odor. Very comfortable for long hiking/walking trips in VERY humid weather. They did not ride up or stretch out as most underwear will!

Only complaint is that on my body size (5' 100lbs) the waist is not as snug as I would like. However, I am incredibly petite with no hips, so I think for the average woman they would fit perfectly!
