Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Men's:
These are obviously well-made and well-purposed for outdoor wear.
I like them for that, but also for pajamas, both at home and on the road.
Nothing as well made and comfortable. Last forever.
Patagonia's lifetime warranty means if they have any defect in materials (as I once had on a pair of their shorts) that doesn't show up for a long time, you can get a replacement.
With the new Gladiodor treatment, you can wear these for days on end (like on a business trip or holiday, when you are too lazy to wash them) without them getting funky. Having to take only 1 pair helps keep travel packing light! (Think, Rick Steves Europe.)
Since they are made of synthetic as opposed to wool or cotton, one pair is enough for travel, since you can sink wash in the morning them using hotel soap bars or shampoo, ring them out (final ring in a hotel towel), hang them up, and they will be dry enough to wear that same night. Try that with wool or cotton, which take days to dry! Even if they are damp, they still insulate and will dry out on you quickly.
Be sure to choose the right weight - Capilene 2 for summer, Capilene 3 for winter.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Men's:
Kept me warm on a rain-soaked trip to the Colorado Rockies last month.
Great fit and versatile (I used them under long pants when it was real cold, but also under short for the in between temps).
Also, after getting soaked on multiple late storms, it dried quickly from my body heat inside my bag!

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Men's:
this is some fine long underwear.
some stuff you might want to read -
i am tall (6'3) and wear size 34 waist.
i was worried they wouldn't fit right somewhere,
but they are perfect; i bet they would even accommodate someone a little wider.
i wear them underneath jeans and they rock.
i was outside all day building a sweat lodge and felt no cold on my lower section...paired with woollen socks these guys are great.
and they're nice little jammies.
what's not to like?

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Men's:
I bought these with the matching zipper top in order to endure the winter as someone who works (and spends plenty of time otherwise) outdoors. I wore them on a chilly, but not too cold day after I bought them, and was impressed by how effectively heat and moisture were managed throughout the day. In the morning and evening, it was very chilly outside and I was kept comfortable and warm, despite wearing less layers than I usually would. As the day progressed and the temperature rose (to about 48F) I had to remove a few layers to remain comfortable, but I never broke out in a sweat (to my knowledge) and remained comfortable for the duration of the day.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Bottoms - Men's:
These are great! I wear these with the matching tops as my base layer, put a soft shell on top and light weight pants on the bottom. This combo has kept me dry and very warm in many conditions even in strong winds and heavy fog.
