    With the XL the arms are just a tad to small to use the thumbholes, however the chest fits perfect. My two main problems are too much room in the torso which allows cold air in (the draw chord doesn't hold well and is ineffective) and their is virtually zero wind block, which means you feel the slightest breeze. However, layered with a rain jacket it provides superb warmth and comfort. If you're looking to layer, go for it, if you want an all in one you might want to keep looking.

    Looks good, but it was advertised as "Made in USA" which is why I bought it. Turns out it is made in El Salvador.

    Service and delivery comments:

    I purchased this because I liked the way it looked and that it was supposedly made in the USA. When it arrived the lable clearly states "Made in El Salvador" so I'll be returning it. REI should reclassify this garment as "Imported".

      I have a winter fleece for work provided by the postal service that is plenty warm and breathable and was looking for a personal one for casual winter wear. Although very stylish this product was neither warm nor wind resistant. The wind cut right through the jacket leaving the wearer chilled on a early December day when the temp was right around 30 degrees. Doubt it will help much when the temps are in the 20's or below.

        Everyone who sees me wearing this jacket remarks on how great it looks. It is just as comfortable as it looks. My wife wanted to buy an identical one, but Kuhl does not make one. Instead, she bought a different Kuhl hoodie which looks great on her.
        I have always been impressed with Kuhl products (I own pants, shirts, jackets) but this jacket beats them all.

        I got for my birthday last year after admiring it for about 6 months. I live at Lake Tahoe, so this jacket gets a lot of winter wear. I only wear it for casual walks, small hikes, and to school/work.

        Since it is made of fleece, it does not block the wind like a heavier jacket would, but overall it is very warm. The zipper, when fully zipped, is a little too thick under the chin. This is because the fleece liner overlaps so it is twice as thick. I don't usually zip it the entire way so it's not a big deal.
