These route descriptions are generalizations and apply to "normal" conditions in a "normal" year for a reasonably competent climber with good backcountry skills. Although the author has many years climbing experience in Colorado, he has climbed most, but not all of the routes in the book. Inaccuracies are inevitable. Finding, let alone climbing, remote and obscure routes may require a liberal translation of the description and a keen interest in high adventure. A sense of humor never hurts either. Mileage and travel time are approximations only and true distance may vary depending on vehicle, road conditions and other factors.
