Comments about REI MTS Bag Liner - Mummy:
I use this liner as both an interior liner to my Kelty LightYear Down 20+ and I use it as a travel blanket. I used it in Mexico in a room that had a lot of mosquitos and it did an okay job of thwarting their attacks through the night, it is not sufficient as a mosquito net though.
It's really lightweight, packs easily, and is easy to clean/wash. It dries fast as well if you are using it abroad and don't have washer and dryer access. It is great when it is hot out, but you still need or want a blanket. It also worked great on warm camping nights when I wanted to get out of my stuffy sleeping bag.
It did get some snags (not rips or tears) in it since I bought it in the beginning of the summer which is a little disappointing, but it doesn't affect the functionality or usefulness of the liner.
Also a note: it probably adds about 7-10 degrees of warmth to my bag, so if you want a super lightweight liner that adds a small bump in temperature rating, this is your winner.

Comments about REI MTS Bag Liner - Mummy:
This Bag liner is GREAT. If you use the snap at the top over your shoulder the liner will twist with you inside of your bag instead of twisting the bag up when you toss and turn. This will make a HUGE differance in how well you sleep and often you wake up. I sleep much better with this liner in my bag. Also its easy to toss the liner in the wash. Keeps your bag from getting stinky, also adds a little to the temp rating. Buy a bag liner, you will thank yourself after a great nights sleep.

Comments about REI MTS Bag Liner - Mummy:
Uncle Sam sent me camping for a year without a sleeping bag or a tent about 40 years ago. I recently got interested in hiking/camping/backpacking as a hobby to enjoy, and my research on gear (as well as the helpful advice from REI store personnel) indicated that a complete SLEEP SYSTEM consists of a good sleeping bag, pad, liner, and pillow - nobody told me about those things in 1968.
This liner is a perfect fit for my Marmot Pinnacle (regular) bag; the reviews by other users helped me decide on this particular liner, but I'm sure I'll get some others for other temperature and humidity conditions. So, thanks to the REI staff and other reviewers for giving this particular liner a good rating which it truly deserves.
