Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
These bottoms are great, wore them on a bike trip in the Cascades and they kept me very warm and dry even when the weather was nasty. They fit very tight to your body so make sure you get the right size.

Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
I purchased these to wear under my motorcycle pants for riding in cold weather.
Temperatures in the mornings have been in the mid thirties and pretty windy. I wear these under kevlar reinforced denim pants and they really do keep my legs nice and warm. They are about half the price of comparable brand base layer pants. The fit of the pants was as advertised. My wife saw me wearing them and demanded I buy her a pair. I just ordered her's this evening.

Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
I picked this product up a few weeks ago and am very happy with the way that it preforms. I wore it on a six day back packing trip on the AT and was very comfortable. The only problem I found with this product is that if you work out in the gym alot then you'll probably have to go up a size, which will not make them as tight on your body as they normally would be. They still work great being a bit loose though. Great for real cold weather.

Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
These were really really hot. They would work great if you need them in below 0 temps but don't wear them if it is above 32.
The con.
For those of us with big butts, they tend to ride a little low, so I would make sure that you try them on in the store and becouse mine kept creeping down.

I would like a fly on the mens mts bottoms since they are a under garment, it would be more convenient.

These are so warm I mostly used them in the evening just prior to climbing into my sleeping bag. Great to slip into after a long day on the A.T.

Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
These are great if the temps are around freezing down to around 0 degrees F. Too warm if it's much above that. I just started using them as a single base layer under shell-type ski pants. They're warm enough to stand around in for a while but require me to unzip the sides of my ski pants for ventilation while hiking uphill or they're too hot. I also own the mid-weight version of these and they're not quite warm enough under these conditions. They wick moisture away very well, I never feel wet. They don't bunch up like similar long underwear I've owned. Not bulky at all for the level of warmth they provide.

Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
I wear these regularly under a variety of other layers, and I have to say, I've been very pleased with them. They retain heat very well, and are great if you're going to be on a snowmachine or not moving for long periods. I haven't had any problems with perspiration, though often my troubles are staying warm, not being hot. I wouldn't wear these any time other than the winter, though. There's a bit of difficulty getting them off and on, as the cuffs are a bit small. I've worn them hunting multiple times in the dead of Alaska Winter, and they've performed wonderfully.

Comments about REI Heavyweight MTS Bottoms - Men's:
These long underwear pants are very soft, light, and warm. I work in a cold area and don't move around much and they have helped to keep me warm throughout the day.
It would be more convenient if they had a fly.
