    The belt loop is extremely resistant to accidentally coming off your belt, but can be undone if necessary -- it requires detaching a succession of layers of velcro. The cover reaches down around the sides to really prevent rain from entering sideways. Superior to higher-priced cases at electronics and camera stores. (Actually I'm not sure if I own exactly this model or the other size, but they're basically identical).

      This little pouch kept my camera safe when I drove off with it on the roof of my car, sending it flying down a rocky dirt road at 30 mph! Camera still works, not even a scratch!

      It's also very functional as a backpack waist strap pocket- the velcro strap loop is very secure, and the velcro on the top cover flap is a really nice design touch, giving you one-hand access to your gadget (all other brands seem to use a awkward zipper access system).

      I've had mine over a year, and it's holding up great through a lot of abuse!
