  • Ideal for everything from setting up anchors to belaying, the traditional screwgate locking method makes this carabiner extremely versatile
  • Unique, patented Keylock gate uses a key-shaped nose on carabiner and slot-shaped gate to create a strong, snag-free closure
  • Manual screwgate system features red band indicator to show carabiner is unlocked, providing a quick visual safety check
  • Recommended for dirty and dusty environments that can cause autolocking carabiner mechanisms to malfunction

    The Petzl Am'D, used in pairs, makes an excellent 'biner for top-rope anchors. Two Am'Ds, oriented opposite each other, lie flat and provide a good rope-bearing surface for top-roping.

        Love this carabiner! I'm not sure why...because there isn't too much of a difference in carabiners. They all do the same thing right?
        I really like the shape, the feel of it, they way it looks, and especially the ease of locking it. The screw gate is so smooth but yet it locks firmly. Again, I also like the shape too! :)
        It's a good buy...especially for the money!!
