I would actually rate this a zero, but that's not allowed. The reason I bought it was that REI's description stated it had a pocket for spare batteries. It does. Unfortunately, when you put 3 batteries (one change) in the pocket and the headlamp in the pouch, it no longer closes. Since the headlamp is fairly rugged, it doesn't need protection; the only purpose of the pouch was to keep everything together. It's totally useless for that purpose. [...]

Why would anyone buy this thing? What a waste. REI shouldn't even sell it. A "case" to hold a flashlight? Dumb. If you really feel the need to "keep your flashlight and its accessories together," get a zip lock. A zip lock does the job, weighs nothing, and is nearly waterproof.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I purchased this as a case for my Jawbone Bluetooth headset. It fits perfectly and the rigid design keeps the headset from accidently turning on. I would highly recommend getting this item as the Jawbone does not come with a carrying case and the other ones on the market are sub-par.
