I've only had this bag for a few weeks, but I wanted to put my warm impressions up here right away. I commute to work (a few miles each way), and had been bungeeing a canvas library bag to my rack until purchasing this bag. It is of course a huge improvement, but it's proven to be even better than expected: more capacity than it initially seemed, carried low (the bag is more up-and-down than front to back, allowing heavy items to be down at or below the rear axle), and more durable than it even looked when I bought it. The bag looks new after several afternoons out in the sun, some drizzle, and no cleaning or upkeep. The zipper has been smooth and tight since applying the goop which came with the bag. The mounting system allows for some flexibility, which I appreciate after today. I loaded the bag up to its maximum capacity for the ride in to work today, and it wound up rubbing a little against my ankle while riding. I'll be able to tweak that this evening.

All in all, an excellent product at fair price, and I hope it continues to serve so well for years to come.

I use this bag everyday for my bike commute. I carry my work clothes, lunch, shoes, and other small personal items (wallet, phone, etc). I also use the bag for grocery shopping.

In addition to being very easy to use and quick to attached/remove from the bike rack, I love that the bag has straps that allow for carrying it on my shoulder like a (big) purse. Since I often bike to work meetings, it is nice to have a bag that is easy to carry. It also makes it easier to carry when grocery shopping. It isn't big enough to grocery shop for more than a few things if I am carrying my work clothes/shoes/lunch container.

The zipper is pretty tough/stiff at first, but it either got smoother with time or I got used to it. The bag comes with lubricant for the zipper, which helps, but is very messy.

This bag is like a giant zip lock bag that easily adapted to my Topeak rack. It has adaptors to fit different diameters of racks and the hardware is top quality that works flawlessly. I rode through a down pour and some deep puddles, everything stayed dry. When you close the bag you have to force the air out of the pack, the seal is that good.

I use this to commute to work, go to the gym, and go grocery shopping. It holds a good deal, but for those heavy loads, I use two. Yellow doesn't get too dirty too fast. Gray looks chic. Seems very sturdy. I expect to have them for a long time. Love them!!

This is the best bike bag...maybe in the world. It attaches firmly & easily too your bike; and there is no way it will come loose. But when you need it just pull on the handle~ and it comes off like it was NEVER attached to the bike. The disengaging mechanism is genius. And the bag is very large...plenty big enough for a gaggle of groceries or whatever. And not only is it water proof, it seems to be air tight as well. Once I sealed mine I squeezed it tight, and it did not let out a puff of air; it was like a giant bubble of love. This bag is so much better then anything I have ever used...snaps in easy...never comes loose...and disengages from the frame by SIMPLY grabbing the handle. Beautiful.

Great bags. Used them daily from August through January with very good results. However, closing system (plastic zipper) recently failed. I think that this was due to using them in Anchorage at temperatures as low as -25 F.
I recommend backroller classic, also Ortlieb for winter use.

This is my third shopping-pannier-townie type bag, and by FAR the best. It fits well on the rear rack and is relatively adjustable--make sure you have the right size shims for the size of your rack tube! (REI kindly helped me fix mine when i got it). It has a convenient shoulder strap, and holds quite a lot of groceries without a)losing its shape, b) falling off c)banging my heel as I pedal (all problems on previous shoppers i've had). There are only two problems I've had with this: the part that attches to the side of the rack (to the side of the wheel) was somewhat fidly to adjust and made it hard to attach to my rack, and it eventually broke off. Luckily the top attachments are so secure that this has made no difference, and it's still quite stable and secure enough to not be an issue. Also the zipper is quite difficult to zip up, so I usually leave it open. So it's not an issue for me, but i imagine if you were using it a lot, and in the rain, this would be a pain.

Bought this bag more than two years ago and have used it three to four days per week commuting and on longer road rides and it's held up very well. Love the attachment system that has worked flawlessly and is very simple to attach/detach from my bike. Also dig how adaptable it is to different bikes: mountain, road and recumbent mid-racer. Only thing I'd change about it is the closure: wish it was a flap with straps and buckles so it could fit over larger loads. The "ziploc" type closure has a tendency to pull open when I stuff it full.

This bag mounts and dismounts easily, it has large volume and is lightweight. I generally carry dry clothing and food back and forth to work on my touring bike in this bag. It carries large loads of groceries and is stable. I like closing and opening it with one zipper. People comment on how cool it is when they see me put it on or take it of my rack so easily...

Almost perfect pannier for commuting and shopping. The rack mounting hardware is the easiest to use of any of four brands I've tried. Easy installation, secure in travel, and instant removal.

It is waterproof and convenient to use, the wallet/key pocket makes it much easier to deal with.

The only disadvantage I've found it is that it's not quite big enough to hold a 17" widescreen laptop. It's just not quite deep enough. It will hold a 15" laptop in a sleeve.
