I absolutely loved carrying this knife everyday. Smooth operation and never dulled. Unfortunately I left this in the jeans that I packed in my carry-on luggage on a trip to China. Needless to say TSA snagged it pretty quickly.
I plan to purchase a replacement soon, I miss this knife and it has only been about a week.
Note - the clip started looking warn quickly, so I used a fine sandpaper to file off all the black paint (clip only). It ended up looking really cool with the "Benchmade" black paint still visible - I'll do that again too.

I just spent a while shopping around for an everyday carry knife (EDC). I already own a very nice CRKT hunting knife and a few multi-tools, but I was looking for a knife that was small and had a clip on it. I started out with cheap knives (Gerber Mini Paraframe) and worked my way through the gimmicky knives (CRKT Kommer Fulcrum) and wasn't satisfied until I got the Mini-Griptilian in my hands. Weight and balance are perfect, craftsmanship is flawless. The size is perfect - big enough to feel substantial and grip-able, and small enough to be portable and not to scare children and small animals if you have to whip it out in public. This thing is so perfect that I've wasted quite a lot of time just holding it in my hand and looking at it.

I had wanted to avoid buying such an expensive knife but it seems as though with these things, you get what you pay for. Highly recommended - if your wallet can handle it.

Purchased this knife yesterday. Was in perfect condition when I got it out of the box, but now just one day later there is a loose internal part that makes a metallic clicking noise whenever the entire knife is turned from side to side or up and down. Just tapping on the side of the handle with my finger makes a loud clicking noise. Also, the locking mechanism is very stiff and seems to stick. This was not like this yesterday at all, and I have done nothing but play with it a little (as I do all new knives when I buy them) by opening and closing it.

The knife came razor sharp, sharp enough to shave the hairs off my arm no problem, so I had very high hopes. However, after already having loose internal parts after just one day of extremely mild use, I have decided to return it. I think I will save $50 and just get a Gerber, as I have had many of these and they have all lasted at least seven years with absolutely no problems.

I have both the regular and mini griptilian. I love the mini. Perfect size for most uses except hunting and camping. Only downside for me is the handle, while good quality, feels too light and un-substantial...hollow sounding. The deployment action is smooth and easy. Locking mechanism is safe and easy to disengage to close the blade.

Bought from Bass Pro Shop as a replacement for my SOG Flash II, that dulled easily and had some give in its locking mechanism. The mini-griptilian is the best knife I've ever used. Super easy to sharpen (used the spyderco tri-sharpener) and it holds its edge pretty well. Small and promotes easy knife handling in smaller hands but more than efficient to take on any task (except maybe cleaning your game in the woods). Since I bought this, I don't think I'll ever buy a knife that is not a Benchmade. :0)

Overall, completely satisfied.

This has become my favorite go to knife. I've used it for all types of outdoor camping chores. It has even been used to process wild game into camp chow. I carry it most everyday and even to the office. I feel it would cut seat belts easily in an emergency and I would not hesitate to use it to break a window if necessary. I've abused the blade somewhat on purpose just to see how strong it is. I'm thinking of buying another one - maybe the larger one.

This has been my everyday knife for about a year now. I couldn't be happier. The edge has held up very well. Easily the best thing about this knife is the opening and closing action. Opening is super easy, and locks well. Because the hinge is so well machined, you can actually flip the knife closed once you pull the lock-release down. This easy one-handed closure makes the knife really easy to use in tight spots with your hands full.

My only minor complaint is that the clip is a bit awkward. I've sometimes found the knife pulled out of my pocket, say on the upholstery of a couch, or the cables running across the top tube of my bike. Other than that, this knife is about perfect!
