The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Thule Parkway 4-Bike Hitch Rack:
This is a good basic 4-bike rack at an affordable price, though I find it more appropriate for 3 bikes, but 4 needs some creative bike tetris skills. Another reviewer (Mark00) is right on that it should have had a pin instead of bolt so that the rack bar supporting the bikes is foldable. The manufacturer has a bolt for that, so folding the supporting bars would require taking off the bolt. Here's how I solved this situation. I called the manufacturer and purchased an additional pin just like the bottom one for tilting, and replaced the top folding bolt with the pin. In fact, I believe that's another Thule model that has a pin for that, not sure why they didn't do it for this model. Now I can just as easily fold the supporting bar as I can tilting the entire rack just by removing the pin. I also purchased a lockable hitch pin and lock for security. Hitch pin and lock fit perfectly on this rack.

Comments about Thule Parkway 4-Bike Hitch Rack:
Bought this mainly for the ski attachment. Was disappointed when I saw I could not use my hitch pin. Rack comes with a bolt. Thule sells a locking cover for the bolt, but would not be able to use with my hidden-type hitch. Solved this issue by running a cable through the rack and locking it to the safety chain loops with a padlock. Was again disappointed when I saw I needed to carry tools in order to lower the rack arms. Would have liked to have a pin. Weighing the inconvenience of carrying two wrenches with the cost of the rack made me not so disappointed.
I used the rack with the ski attachment this weekend. I was nervous watching the skis sway a little. I kept having visions of pulling this rack down the highway behind me (since it was chained to my safety loops). Rack was solid, though. Bolt in the hitch didn't budge.
All-in-all I'm pretty happy with it now after using it. I would recommend this to a friend with a warning of the hitch pin/arm pin disappointment.

Comments about Thule Parkway 4-Bike Hitch Rack:
The previous comments have been very helpful [THANKS!!] so I will be more specific: 2 modifications turn this into a fine rack. 1. To easily fold down the bike supporting bars without needing tools for the supplied bolt, do what HappyDad did or go online, www.thule.com/en & click on search in the upper right corner. Put in 8535210 then hit GO. Click on the top item "Thule - Thule Bike Racks - Rack Bike Hitch". The next page you can order the top item, "Spring Pin and Lanyard." $5+ $4.95 shipping-takes about a week. This is the same pin that is provided to easily fold the rack away from the back of the vehicle.#2. It's also a pain to have to take out the hitch pin bolt and makes the rack vulnerable to theft. I bought a Master Lock (1469DAT)5/8" Stainless Steel Receiver Lock on [...] for about $15. Next problem is that one needs to drill out the nut and threads that the original bolt tightened into. Takes a decent drill and bits. A good drill press would make it easy.Have used it a couple of times now--works great. So all-in-all, getting this on sale, adding another $25+ in modifications, I still think it's a good product at a decent value.
