    Comments about Thule Rapid Aero Aluminum Bars - 43 Inch - Pair:

    I have no factory bars on my Subaru Outback 2008 basic, so was shopping for something decent looking and functional.

    A few things I wanted were
    - rust resistant,
    - light,
    - quiet
    - easy to install/remove and somewhat universal so I can move it from car to car.

    For some reason Rapid aero bars wasn't on the list from Thule's website for my car, called a couple of places and they weren't sure if it would fit. Installed it a few days ago - fits perfectly, looks nice, barely any wind noise, sticks out about 3" on each side from my factory rails - so no way I can hit my head, gives a little spark to the top of the car - just love it.

    Installed it on Thule Rapid Crossroad Railing Foot Pack - Set of 4, REI Item #7375490013.

    The only thing I didn't get - locks, it's so easy to take out - anyone can do it in under 10mins, so you probably want locks on it. The rest of nice features look up review for 47" aero bars.
