The ultralight Mammut® Serenity rope is great for times when weight is the main concern. One of the smallest and lightest ropes in the industry.

  • Coating Finish™ process uses Teflon® to treat individual fibers resulting in reduced abrasion, better load distribution and durability
  • Superdry™ sheath and core treatment discourages water absorption while resisting dirt and abrasion
  • Duraflex™ heat-treatment process on the finished rope helps maintain smooth handling characteristics over time
  • Kernmantle design combines durable braided sheath and shock-absorbing core for protection from fall forces
  • 8.9 mm diameter is light and useful on difficult pitches and still strong enough to use as a single rope, excelling at longer sport and alpine routes
  • 70-meter length allows considerably longer leads and rappels
  • Middle of the rope is marked with a black bar to facilitate rappels

        Serenity is just that. Mammut has really nailed a super product here. The rope handles great, belays great, clips smooth, and at 52 grams per meter, is easy to clip when 180 feet out! Love the feel, however the diameter is un-nerving when pushing past sharp fins or running it out. Mental only. This thing is bomber! Love it for alpine, trad, multi-pitch anything! Buy two, use it for a heavy guy twin rope!

            I just receive one of these bad boys and I already love. Light weight without compromising durability or handling this rope is for people knocking out Alpine routes in light weight style or doing long trad routes. I've also found that this rope works well for glacier routes that have short sections of technical ice or route, think Liberty Ridge or Kautz glacier route.
