Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
These are a great pair of shoes. The straps make them easy to get off and on, and the heel rand is the best one can get. Apart from the heel rand and the stiff midsole, these shoes are much like the less expensive evolv defy. These shoes are stiffer, allowing you to put more weight on your toe, but some comfort when walking is sacrificed (not that you should be able to walk in a climbing shoe). Sizing wise, I went down 1 size from my street shoe (11), and they fit quite well. If i were to buy them again, I would probably go a size and a half down and endure the initial pain of the shoe to have a better eventual fit. These shoes will stretch, but nowhere as much as a leather shoe. Their stretch will mostly be in the width, so don't worry about some initial toe squeezing. Overall, a responsive, well performing rock shoe.

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
These shoes are great. - Ive been wearing them for about 3 months now and I think the rubber is getting about ready to need replacing, but I think the mileage has been pretty good though.
I climb at least 2x a week in the gym and about every other weekend outdoors.
These shoes edge *VERY WELL* and I really like the ~unique heels that allow for nice heel hooks. - The rubber is awesome and smears wonderfully.
Depending on the street shoe, Im generally a 12-14 and Im wearing a 12.5 in these and they are not comfortable for anything more than enough time to climb a single pitch (wearing a sz44 in 5 fingers FYI)- and they come off in between climbs in the gym.
I wouldn't do multi-pitch with these for the reason mentioned, but am going to buy another pair to fill in while my others get new rubber.
I don't get the stink factor that others have mentioned, so either I'm not as smelly (unlikely), or perhaps the copious time airing out is helpful.

These are all around great shoes. I was going to get less expensive shoes, but once I tried these on there was no way I was going to get anything less than these! Great shoes, definitely worth the extra dough.

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
I love this thing the place where I climb has this massive route where you have to heel hook quite a few times to reach the top, and there extremley sweet heel did the trick.
The rubber was very nice it was able to support a 210 pound stocky guy (me) while smearing and doing a great job keeping me steady. It is a good shoe I i wear an 11 1/2 street and wear a 10 in this shoe in order to get the fit I wanted but other than that it was a solid fit.
The one thing I didnt like was that it wasn't as ajustable as the lace ups, but when you get a foot cramp those velcro straps are a godsend. the other thing that I didn't like was that they did get a teeny bit smelly. However, my friend and I had created a shoe softener/anti-microbial/deoderizer/shoe preserver so the smell was gone and the shoe fit better and was a little bit more comfy if it wasn't comfy enough already. This is a great shoe definitley worth it.

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
Bought these shoes as an upgrade from my first pair of shoes. I originally had a pair of mad rock lace-ups and I didnt have any of the problems with them that I'm having with these evolvs. The rubber around the toe wore out extremely fast on this shoe. Also, they smell TERRIBLE. My advice try something else...

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
These were my first pair of shoes and I gotta say, not bad at all. The price was great, the Velcro allow for easy on and off. The best shoes I've had for bouldering (great for practicing heel locks). Only con is I wish I would have bought them smaller, they stretch more than you think. I went a full size down from my regular shoe size, I would recommend a size and a half, two if you can handle the pain and numbness of your toes for a couple weeks! Overall, I would def buy again.

I was just coming off of physical therapy for my heel spur and the rental shoes were just god awfully uncomfortable. I picked these bad boys up and now I can climb without the discomfort.

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
This is the first pair of climbing shoes i have purchased and i have no regrets. Iv used these shoes on many climbs indoor/outdoor and on diffent types of rock. I feel like the shoes stick like glue to just about anything. As Im sure people have told you these shoes do not breath well and as a result they smell really really bad. other than that nothing is wrong with them

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
These were my first climbing shoes. As a beginner, I'd expect to be a little hard on them at first. But, after nine months of climbing indoors once (or twice in a good week) a week, the toes of both shoes have worn through completely. There's no discernable wear anywhere else on the rubber--just the toes. Weren't these the shoes with Evolv's fancy rand with extra rubber on high-wear areas?

Comments about evolv Evo Rock Shoes:
This is my first climbing shoe. I got it about a half size smaller than my street shoe, but it fits awesome. This shoe fit my foot best out of the ones I tried. I let mine air out after I climb and they don't smell too bad. They stick to the wall nice and the velcro makes em easy to get in and out of.
