The full-strength Nano holds the load of a full-size carabiner but weighs less than a small handful of pocket change.

  • Despite its small size, its large 21-millimeter gate opening clips easily to a full-width rope
  • Stainless-steel wire operates as both gate and spring; lightweight gate reduces the chance of gate lash
  • Dimensions 3-3/8 x 2 x 5/16 inches

These are pretty cool biners, the main downside is they are so small. when using thick ropes or when wearing gloves they are too small. I'm glad I only bought one, because I use it as a keychain now.

Comments about C.A.M.P. USA Nano Wire Carabiner:

Small, with a relatively small rope-bearing cross-section. As long as you are not using these to dog your latest project, they are great. Really lighten your alpine or Indian Creek rack. The new Nano 23s are coming soon? 5 grams lighter!?!

Comments about C.A.M.P. USA Nano Wire Carabiner:

Despite being award winning and the other review, I won't convert my rack to these. I got a couple of these to try out & find them hard to clip, especially while under stress. The gate tension is very high. I'm sure that's good for reducing gate lash, but makes it hard to push the rope through. Also, I found the gate opening too small to fit the rope and my thumb through, which is what I often do while clipping other biners. Thirdly, these are too small to hold a clove hitch, so won't have use on my alpine rack.

However, if you really want to lighten up and don't mind the small size, these are a major break-through.

Comments about C.A.M.P. USA Nano Wire Carabiner:

These are some nice little biners. I use them with thin diameter 120cm dyneema slings to reduce bulk. Work great, smooth opening and fits well in hands despite small dimensions.
