Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
I'm a big guy- dimension and weight wise. So Im a test for such a light pad- and it passes the test easily. The pad is amazingly comfortable, light and compact to carry, and seems tough enough to take the knocks. Dont forget that when you first get it, it has been compressed a long time and you need to inflate it overnight (blow it up by mouth) and then store it onrolled when you can so it performs its best. In use, I prefer to have the pad firm so I blow air in. My only real issue is that Thermarest sell the stuff sack seperately, while I think it should be included. I has an EMS that had a stuff sack AND repair kit included. Overall I am VERY happy with the purchase.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
My friends always told me to get one of these but I resisted. The price can be daunting for a sleep pad but it is well worth it. I've done the air mattress thing, and the yoga mat thing. This is the perfect thing. I actually feel good in the morning now. As a tall guy I can tell you my back feels good after sleeping on this all night.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
[...] I was leery about chunkin' that much change when I had two military foam pads anyway[...]I bought one. Well, camping with my girlfriend, I didn't feel right hoggin it, so I let her sleep on it while I doubled upon the two foam ones. It was ok, but not as comfy as the Thermarest Trail Lite. Next time we went out it was on a river bank of rock. Once again, her-Thermarest, me-foam el doublay. It was ok, i guess, but when I took a nap on it during the day, I said "heck no- I am getting another one" So I found this one on REI.com at a better price.I can tell you these are durable and after many uses- no signs of wear- built to last. It's light too.Sleep is important- especially if you are in the wilderness. The ground will suck the heat out of you-This pad will ensure that does not happen as it also ensures you plenty of comfort.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
I purchased this sleeping pad for motorcycle camping. I prefer minimalist gear with comfort.
This is a great lightweight sleeping pad & it is very comfortable. It is easy to inflate/deflate and roll up. I purchased a REI stuff sack for about half the price of a Therm-a-Rest sack, which is to expensive.
This sleeping pad can be folded & rolled up like the Pro Lite Plus-Large sleeping pad. This pad only weighs few ounces more than the Pro Lite Plus-Large, but is about the same size rolled up.
I purchased a 24" adjustable Velcro strap to secure the pad in a rolled up position so it easily fits into the REI stuff sack.
I would not hesitate to recommend this sleeping pad.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
I am a boy scout so i camp and backpack a lot. I love the lightning fast inflation. It keeps me off the cold groung and kept my sleeping bag dry on the floor of a snow shelter. it is actually lighted than my old foam pad, which wasn't nearly as comfortable.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
My version of this light weight pad (has the same specs- 78x25x1.5) is 15+ years old. I have used it on hiking & game trails, and down rivers, camping where ever it feels right (May thru Oct in). I am 6'1", 245, so I give it 9-10 extra puffs. The pad has always felt soft and warm. My pad is still going strong, no need to replace it. I have not found anything about it that needs to changed. I help the pad out by pitching my tent on top of the pine-duff or grass, when I can.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
I take this on back packing, mountain climbing and camping trips. It's comfortable, light, quick and easy to deal with and easy to take on a airplane.
Mt. Whitney -- friends sleep on granite, I sleep in comfort.
Dominican Republic -- friends sleep on lumpy ground, I sleep in comfort.
I would suggest the straps that go around the pad and clip to the sleeping bag... especially if you are on a slope.
All things considered -- price, weight, length, comfort -- I think this one is the best.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad - Large:
This is my second trail lite. After losing my first one due to heavy winds and the nearby proximity of a lake, I went out and purchased a new one. It is really pretty awesome. After spending 21 days on trail in the backcountry, sleeping on this pad made me wish i could spend 21 days more. I can easily say that this pad is more comfortable that my own bed at home, maybe that doesn't say too much about me.
The only down side to this item is the weight. It's too bad that there's not a way to get supreme thick comfort, while keeping the weight low.
