Comments about Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 Kayak:

After renting kayaks for years, I finally got my Tsunami120 for Christmas (in May). But it's been worth the wait. I've taken it out mostly on lakes and reservoirs near me in Maryland but also on the bay side of Fenwick Island in Delaware. The seat is very comfortable with all the adjustments. The bow and stern holds are great for stowing gear. Stability and tracking are fine. Good thing I got the spray skirt: although I'm not doing the acrobatic stuff in whitewater, I had a blast crashing through waves and wind on the bay. Not to mention rainy paddling days.

I tie it on top of my old Honda Civic with the foam pad kit for transport. With only the Civic, I'm glad I did not go longer than the 12' model.

I'm pleased with overall quality of construction and hardware. I will point out a couple issues:
      1) Could use a water bottle holder.
      2) Base of the hull pushes in slightly when tied tightly to the top of the car (but pushes out again).
      3) The line for the seatback vertical adjust came undone (which I need to rerun).
      4) Would be nice to have a cleat or two (but I'm used to sailboats so maybe that's not a kayak thing).

Comments about Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 Kayak:

I searched high and low for a boat that I could take on a river, a lake, or even out in the ocean. Granted this won't do class 4 rapids or handle ocean swells, but anything in between is well handled by the Tsunami 120. With an optional rudder and lots of storage I'm certain I'll be using this boat on many more trips. It's already been with me to local lakes, smaller rivers, and off-the shore in the Keys.
