Comments about Therm-a-Rest LuxuryCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
I bought this pad last summer when my deluxe 3 1/2" pad sprung a leak. This one is almost as nice and 2 1/2 pounds lighter. Old hips need extra padding for side sleepers, and even though it's a tad heavy for backpacking, it's worth the comfort of a good night's sleep. I'm working on lightening my pack load this year, but this is one item I will NOT eliminate!

Comments about Therm-a-Rest LuxuryCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
For car camping this is perfect and very comfortable. I have 6 different Thermarest Pads mostly lighter thinner ones for backpacking, this is too heavy for that. My only complaint is the stuff sack is too small and difficult to get the pad out once you drive/climb in elevation to your campsite. Mine has no leaks and I shut the valve tight but if it inflates even a little its really hard to get it out of the bag.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest LuxuryCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
Having tried different thickness sleeping pads, I think 2.5 inches is necessary for those with aging bodies.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest LuxuryCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
We are the typical 3-4 times a year weekend campers. Love that they do not take up much space. My children use them when they have sleepovers. Much more comfortable than the hard floor or ground.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest LuxuryCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
Thick enough to adjust how firm you want it. With only a basic sleeping bag, this pad definately was worth it. Kept us warm and comfortable.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest LuxuryCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
This pad is for car camping, or a quick weekend trip, too heavy for backpacking. But oh so comfy - in my middle years I have developed some arthritic joints, but on this pad, I sleep soundly, and wake feeling great. Very warm, you don't slip off, really nice.
