Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
I slept on one of these for two years while in the Peace Corps. It worked out well and was very comfortable belying its thickness. I'd have no hesitation in purchasing one of these again.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
This is a great cheap pad! I have had mine for four years now, and have never had any problems. Very warm on cold nights.
If you want to compress the pad more roll it twice.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
This pad is absolutely fabulous. It's incredibly warm (check the r-value in the specs page), but is actually reasonably light. I have packed it on several short trips easily, and while not a minimalist, I'm small and don't like to carry much. It's easy to strap it to the outside of the pack, and worth it. I sleep like a baby on this thing by puffing it up with a few extra breaths and then, actually, letting a tiny bit out. Just the right amount of give remains. I use it with the Big Agnes Rox Anne, which has a sleeve for an insulated pad. The bag leaves off the bottom insulation in favor of the pad, which makes up for a bit of weight. Together with a Pacific Outdoor Equipment blow-up pillow, it's the best system in the universe.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
Wonderful!! Since I'm medium-tall and on the heavy side, I bought this instead of the Trail Lite Women's to give me enough length and a little extra cushion. There's nothing I hate more than having my feet or head hang off onto the cold, hard ground, or feeling the hard ground under me! The length was ample, and I slept better since I didn't worry about parts of me hanging off the ends.
I and my down bag stayed warm, dry and comfortable all night despite the fact that the tent leaked badly and the only dry spot was on top of my mattress! Related to this, the muddy dog also slept partially on my mattress, and the dirty paw-prints washed right off.
While this mattress is slightly larger and 3/4 pound heavier than the Trail Lite, I felt that the added length and thickness were worth what they added to my load. Honestly, I'd rather go without clean clothes than be uncomfortable at night!

I love this! It's so soft. The only bad thing is the size. Man this thing rolls up big

Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
I LOVE my thermarest. It is extremely comfortable, it packs easily without adding excessive weight to the pack, and is quick to set up. After using a cheap foam pad for years, I don't think I could ever go back.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular:
The Therm-A-Rest foam pad has made a world of difference in my sleeping comfort. I love the way it self-inflates while I tend to other things, and at the end of the trip, I just quickly roll it right up to delflate. I wish all my equipment worked this well.
