I bought these shorts for my husband (he is 6'4" and 185 pounds) and it's hard to find shorts that are LONG enough. I was afraid he'd think they were "man-capri's" but he tried them on and he loved them straight off. This is a miracle because I think he's the pickiest person on the planet. He wears them EVERYWHERE, including climbing, hiking, biking, longboarding, working, etc..and if they are clean, HE IS WEARING THEM. Also, he gets "man compliments" on them whenever he wears them. Stuff like, "cool shorts dude, what brand are they? Where'd you get them?" (at which point he tells them his wife picked them out for him and I get extra brownie points. I paid full-price for them (which I almost never do) and they were worth every penny. He wears them hard and we've already washed them about 100 times and they look like they looked the day I bought them. We even went back and bought them in another color. My husband loves that they look cool, are long enough, have good pockets (for cell phone,etc..) and are VERY breathable. We'll be looking for Kuhl shorts next year for SURE.

I have Kuhl pants and love em. They have the nicest fabrics and Kuhlest features. So when the shorts came in I had to have a pair! And these are the bomb! I never had shorts that were this well thought out. I live in these and rewash em so I don't have to wear any of my other shorts. The attention to detail goes beyond any brand I have ever worn. I bought these because in the photo they looked like they might be long enough to be 'man-pris'. Yes, i know they are not, but i really dig Kuhl so i hoped maybe they would work. Turns out, they are not quite long enough for what i wanted, ie. they don't quite cover my knees while i'm sitting on a bike. They are definitely boulder shorts and not man-pris.
I ended up keeping them though, just because they rock so hard. Can't bring myself to return them! Super light, comfy, way breathable. full gusseted crotch. The pockets are in good places, and do not eject your cellphone as many do - even when not zipped. There's even a little hang-loop at the back -- a solid one, not some rinky-dink afterthought. Which is significant because these things will hang-dry in no time.
You might want to wash them once before wearing. I wore mine right out of the store and some of the fabric dye ended up coming off on my bike saddle. Didn't come off on anything else, though, and the pants show no sign of color loss.

Comfortable, durable, lightweight. Fit is loose but not quite too loose. Good construction and well thought out design, especially the pockets. I bought them primarily for biking but find I wear them pretty much all the time. Flat seams, articulated crotch and length just below the knee make them good bike shorts if your not into spandex. I will probably be buying more Kuhl pants/shorts.

My friend, a female about my age, loved them and suggested I buy them. I love the length, but wearing them to work usually gets some jokes. However, they are extremely comfortable. Ventilated pockets haven't impressed me so much for air flow, but they definitely help dry quickly. They are perfect for climbing/boulder or hiking. True to size, but roomy.
