Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
I took this tent out on the Appalachian Trail for three months and was very glad that I did. It is everything everyone has been saying and more.
The key to unlocking its space inside is to stake out the middle of the sides of the tent and attach the inside of the fly to the tent wall mesh. I seldomly sought this much space for my solo, but I saw several couples very comfortable in it.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
This tent is awesome. I replaced a much heavier two man tent with this tent and now wish I would have done it sooner. It has been used for two years now with only one tiny snag from the tip of a hiking pole in the screen. It has been used for one and two person trips from two to ten days and has been comfortable for both uses although for two large people it would be cramped. For two women on a weekend we were able to keep our packs in with us. It survived high winds off of Lake Michigan and a driving rain storm that shook most other backpackers tents pretty severely that night while we slept well. I would highly recommend this tent to anyone wanting to shed a little weight.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
This is a wonderful tent....if you want a light backpacking tent, that is. It's light and compact, that means you give up a little on space and heavy-duty materials. Don't mind people who complain that the tent is a little cramped for two people or that it is not as sturdy as their MSR Fury. This is a fantastic backpacking tent, to knock it for its lack of space or sturdiness is to compare measure an apple with standards used for oranges. My only complaint is that is expensive, but that is not something you have to read a review to find out.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
This tent is lightweight, and I really like how simple the setup is. It does not need to be staked out, which is essential for camping on granite, which I do frequently.
My complaint, and the reason I have to return it, is that I am 6'5", and absolutely do not fit in this tent. I would be surprised if anybody taller than 6' would fit either.
I sleep on a ThermaRest ProLite 4 Long pad, and a Marmot Helium +15 Long bag. When I lay down in this tent, my head is brushing against the top, and my feet are pushing out at the bottom. The next morning, the toe of my sleeping bag is wet due to tent condensation.
If I were 6', this might be the perfect tent.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
Extremely lightweight, sets up in a five minutes, keeps you dry in a downpour, lots of headroom, lots of footroom, several pockets for your stuff, made to last - I can't imaging a better tent. I'm kind of claustrophobic, so I use it solo, but it think most people would find it plenty wide for two.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
While this tent does follow the standard knowledge that a 2 person tent is really only intended for two people who are very comfortable with each other, it is an amazing 1 person tent. Setup is easy, tent stakes are light and durable, poles are a little wacky at first but no big deal, and the rainfly works great. I've used it a few times now and really appreciate how amazingly light it is. I can't wait to take it on a multi-day bike trek!
The 360 degree mesh is awesome and allows for great views and ventilation. This is the best little tent I've ever owned.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
I love Big Agnes products. All their products seem oriented toward practical use. This tent is excellent for someone who wants to go ultralight but still have live-able interior space. You do have to guy out the sides completely to maximize the interior volumn (for it to be a true two-person tent) but it works just fine without the guy lines as a roomy one-person. Construction seems decent so far. Only knock on the tent is with the choice of the small spring-hooks to clip the fly to the lash points on the canopy's sidewalls. I found them difficult to work with so I replaced them with the smallest side-release buckles I could find. Set up and take down is much easier now.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
This is an excellent ultralight 3 season tent. It seems like the lightest, toughest 2 man tent around (a close second would be the Eureka Zeus 2). The specs say that the "packed weight" is 3lbs 6 oz. However, once you put in the recommended footprint, it weighs about 4.5 lbs.
Given that all of the poles are attached in one piece, anyone can easily set it up. At first I was rather skeptical that it would hold up to a rain storm but I was thankfully proven wrong during a tumultuous thunderstorm. The tent itself, being 95 percent screen makes it not only lighter, but also makes it ventilate quite nicely. Plus, if you know it will not rain overnight, the screen will allow cool wind during the summer and you can see the sky. I often use it as a solo tent, but my wife and I both (including our little "Chomeranian") fit comfortably inside. The vestibule is just big enough for boots, water bottles, etc. The only knock is that the fly seems to slightly touch the sides near the bottom front of the tent even when the guy lines are staked in. Notwithstanding, I have not yet gotten wet inside.
I have used this tent in East Tennessee and in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains in weather ranging from 5 to 80 degrees.
I am a huge fan of Big Agnes.

I love this lightweight tent, close quaters for two people with no room to store gear but perfect for one with gear inside. Easy to put up.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 2 Tent:
Tent is light, easy to set-up, great design. The problem is where the seam meets the mesh on the door zipper area. The mesh pulls apart leaving holes similar to a ladies nylon (panty-hose) run. I used the tent two times (total of 6 days)and there were over a dozen areas where the mesh pulled apart from the seam. I was bummed as i loved the weight, and all other aspects. I thought i had found my dream ultralight. Going to the HUBBA HUBBA by MSR.
