Needed a portable battery clock -- spend your money on something better. The back compressed into the plastic dial with little pressure and jammed on dial, switch moved to alarm "on" easily when packed, hands finally can off, all in less than 6 months use

I've gone through several travel alarm clocks, and this is the best! It's lightweight, portable, and I can tell the time in the dark. I won't need to buy anymore travel alarm clocks!

I wanted a simple travel alarm clock to take with me to my Peace Corps assignment to use where I'll live as well as to put in my pack when traveling. I liked the simple design, price and small size. However, the sound of the clock is very LOUD as the second hand sweeps around the dial. I was happy that I could return it to REI.
If sound is not a factor in choosing, the clock would be a fine choice.
