Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I wear a size 7 in womens but decided to try the youth size in these and they fit a lot better (and were cheaper!). I would suggest trying both to compare the two.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
These are my second pair of chacos and I love them. This particular design is more feminine than other chacos, which makes them great for work and everyday wear. They run about a 1/2 size too big b/c they only come in whole sizes. The strap is very secure so even if you're a whole size, they won't feel too big. I'm a teacher and wear these shoes all day long almost everyday and my feet feel great at the end of the day. The only place that they're not made for is the beach. The sandals are loose enough for sand to get in, but tight enough that sand doesn't get out. Also, sand clogs up the universal strapping system and makes it difficult to adjust. Wash them with a scrub brush and dish soap when they smell- the washing machine won't get them clean enough.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I was looking for something comfortable to wear to work and especially around the house, where I find I am increasingly in need of more support than going barefoot offers. My first inclination was to get a pair of Keen shoes, but after reading the REI reviews for both Keen and Chaco, I'm glad I went for the latter! When I tried the Keen's, I realized they really are hot, as several people mentioned (and that's not something I usually notice or even think about!) and they weren't as comfortable as I had hoped. This pair of Chaco sandals, though, is cool and comfortable and, let's face it, gals, cute! Much more feminine than many similar sandals. Without the "top loop," I can add socks for cooler days or to wear inside in the winter. Thanks, REI, for posting comments and readers' views -- a big help! Happy Trails!

I found I needed to go down a size to fit better when wearing these sandles... (normally, I wear size 9 or so in sandles, but an 8 fit best in these sandles...)

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
The straps on these sandals all connect and run through the sole of the shoe, so pulling and 'fitting' is tricky the first time. Once you have the right fit, however, you realize it's as though the whole shoe was made just for your foot - every strap fits perfectly. Great for short hikes, casual wear, and during water sports when shoes are necessary.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
Living in Arizona has allowed me to wear my Chaco ZX/1 sandals day in and day out for over two years, and they barely show the wear. Their unique fitting system with adjustable strapping works for problem feet like mine with an extra wide forefoot due to bunions and an ultra narrow heel. Since my original ones are a limeish green, I bought a second pair in black to wear with black dresses. I'm now ordering a third pair in a different green to take advantage of a sale, although I don't expect to need them for a few more years! The only complaint I can ever foresee is that they stop making them.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
Chacos are extremely comfortable sturdy sandals that provide excellent arch support. I own 4 pairs and they are my shoe of choice during the warmer months. Due to a foot injury years ago I need shoes with good support. Chacos provide the support I need better than any other sandal I have tried.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
I was a Teva fan for years, but recently made the switch to try Chacos. Will never go back to Tevas now. No velcro to wear out, thick durable sole, and comfortable straps. However, friends of mine have had problems with the soles wearing down quickly, so I'm waiting to see if that happens.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
These shoes have great arch support, rugged soles and still look stylish with the double straps. The heel is a little narrow and rubs, but I love the way you can adjust the straps to fit your foot perfectly.

Comments about Chaco ZX/1 Unaweep Sandals - Women's:
Chaco is by far the best sandal you can ever buy! I was a long time Teva fan, but ever since I started running marathons my feet changed and I need a lot of support. Chaco sandals (no matter what you get) provide outstanding arch support and stability. So, I wear them all summer, everywhere. Good thing they came up with some cute colors too! :-)
One problem I would like fixed is Chaco's sizing: half sizes would be great!
