The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Slime Tire Sealant - 8 oz.:
I used this stuff on two shraeder tubes. A few months later, I found that it clogged up one of the two valves and caused my pump valve to stick to the tube valve.
When I tried to pull off, the tube valve basically disintegrated.
The REI bike mechanic recommended against using this for just this reason BEFORE I bought this product. I should have heeded his warning.
This product is not well thought out and should not be used by consumers.
If you want Slime, just get the Slime Tube. The Slime Tube works well.
Bottled Slime can damage your tube.

Use this stuff! Here's how I do it. Use Slime inside the innertube and a tire liner together! This will stop 90% of your flats. I ride ALOT and have for many years and the combination of these two has saved my butt more times than I can count! If a thorn or any sharp object somehow does make it through or around the tire liner it then has to contend with the healing powers of the Slime. Your tire may lose a small amount of air during the healing process but you can easily ride to where ever you need to in order to top off the innertube with air. Adds a little bit of weight to your ride but worth it. Ride On!!

Comments about Slime Tire Sealant - 8 oz.:
This is the most awful stuff I've ever used! It claims to seal punctures up to 1/8 inch. My puncture was much smaller than that - the only thing it did was help me find the puncture via the green stuff oozing out of the hole. However, at that point you'll just need a new tube. Forget trying to use a patch. This stuff destroys the adhesive and nothing will stick. It also destroyed the adhesive on a perfectly good patch, causing it to come off too.

I have used Slime for many thousands of miles here in the Tucson area desert. I have never had any valve problems. After filling the tube with Slime I clean the area with a Q-tip before reinstalling the valve.
