I have one in white that is perfect under a white office shirt -- no visible logo and VERY comfortable. We move between indoor meetings and outdoor construction sites, and this Tee keeps me dry and comfortable in both summer and winter. PLEASE bring back the WHITE Tee.

I don't like to wear clothes. I am a warm person who sweats often. These shirts are so soft I actually like wearing clothes again. For the times that I sweat, the wicking feature of these shirts keeps me dry. I have purchased two (if not three) of each shirt (including the long sleeved version) and am ever so happy. Please keep making this shirt FOREVER. I am happy now because of this shirt. Life is good. Finally. Thank you so much for making my life better!

I bought a couple of these as an outdoor shirt but have since bought many more and you can usually see me wearing one on any given day. I especially like that they feel like broken in cotton and don't have that shiny "hey look at me, I'm an athlete" nylon kind of look. I'm a bartender in a busy bar and since using the Sahara as a work shirt I'm no longer embarrassed by sweat stains when slinging drinks for a big crowd.
My work shirts are beginning to split seams after about 2 years of heavy use. I consider this within normal parameters. I wouldn't recommend using fabric softener when washing these shirts, it causes the fabric to pill.
REI loses a star for discontinuing my favorite colors, esp. "Tank" and WHITE. Hello, plain white T-shirt?!?

I listened to the advice of the other reviews and purchased two of these shirts. Now I own about 8. These are hands down the best t-shirt I've ever had. They do a great job of wicking moisture... they are a workout shirt for me. They are conservative in appearance (doesn't look technical)... I wear them with jeans, khakis (casual vice dress), and shorts. The material is very soft... I wear the white color under dress shirts.

My intention was to have a solid travel shirt (I fly for the Navy). Anytime I'm packing my bag I include at least 1 of these shirts. They do not hold wrinkles at all, can be used for a casual night on the town, a trip to the gym, or a local area hike. I highly recommend these shirts.

...don't get me wrong. 5 stars for the 2008 model. I bought every color long sleeve and every color short sleeve version with some doubles, that's how much I loved the shirts. I fit a small perfectly in the 2008 model, but the 2009 one, the armpit opening to the sleeve is smaller. Even the medium is tight on me in the same area.

I have a bunch of these shirts and wear almost nothing else because they're so incredibly comfortable, BUT they DO pill/fuzz pretty badly. I choose to put up with it, but it annoys me that REI continues to tout the fabric as "anti-pilling". I used to have some MTS shirts that didn't pill, but they weren't as soft so I guess that's the tradeoff.

If you prefer a loose fit, and you're between sizes as I am, you may find the larger size to be more comfortable.

I bought this because it seemed to be a better looking wicking shirt. It is. However, it's not as good a wicker as I hoped. I got it on sale, so no complaints. If you're leaning towards the shirt because it looks good...you'll be pleased because it kinda wicks away the sweat. If you're leaning towards it because it wicks, well...you might not be as happy.

I love this shirt. It is soft and comfortable. The fit is great. It dries fast even after getting completely soaked and it kept me cool even while carrying a daypack around all day.

The only drawback is that it isn't offered in more colors.

Shirt doesn't dry exceptionally fast, feels slightly clammy when wet and leaves me feeling a bit itchy. Overall it's better than a cotton tee but not by much.
