Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
A standard cover that gets the job done. I purchased primarily for protecting my new pack from airline baggage system and to keep all the straps covered. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I don't care for the bungie cord around the edges. It's fine for hiking but I have to wrap my pack with tape a couple times to keep the cover in place when I check in my pack on the airlines.

Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
If you can pack all your gear inside your Gregory backpack, not use the zippered-side-pocket (the one that fits a Nalgene bottle perfectly), limit yourself to one small sleeping pad hanging off the bottom of your pack, and the weather doesn't do more than sprinkle/drizzle a bit - then this rain cover will work halfway-decently for you. It still won't completely reach around the mid-section of my Gregory pack, though. I ordered the XL pack cover for my women's mid-size Gregory backpack, and it's still not big enough.
Also, the drainage holes in the bottom are never actually in a position to drain water if it pooled... that misplacement seems standard with every company's design, though.
I do like the elastic/velcro strap that holds the pack cover on. I'll try to include that feature when I make my own pack cover, which I feel is the only way I'm going to get one that fits well.

Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
I used this on a few day hikes in the rain, and it seemed to hold up fairly well. I even went hiking through horsetail falls oregon and managed to "test" my rain gear under some wet conditions. It works. Also, I have noticed a slight problem with any rainfly: the part of the backpack that is touching your back can still get wet, so a poncho under heavier rain should actually prevent the back from getting wet (the part that is against your back). I have a Gregory Baltoro 75 and bought the Large rain fly. With the large, I am actually able to stretch it around most of the back...
Also, the color is much brighter than the picture shown... so, it looks nicer!

It's waterproof! The color is lighter than advertised, too.

Gregory does it again! This thing will keep your gear dry. Get a bigger size than what you think you should get. I have a baltoro 75, the large fits it good, with extra room for more gear on the outside of my pack. The blue is brighter than it looks in the photo (Royal Blue). The handy stuff bag stays attached to the cover. Get it while its hot~

Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
Great product, but order bigger than you think you need. It is easier to have too much cover than too little. We took these to Philmont, and the size I ordered (med) had a hard time just covering my son's smaller pack. I had to choose on my larger pack what would be covered and what was simply going to get wet. More durable than others I saw out there, and the storage pouch made it easy to stuff away when dry and put in my pack.

Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
I have had this cover since 2004, have hiked over 400 miles with this cover on my backpack,I have a Jansport, Olympic and this cover fits perfectley and have used to hold the straps out of the way of baggage personal on planes and trains and this cover has held up as well as kept the water out of my pack for years. You won't find another cover than this, my son and his friend rolled their truck with my pack in the back and threw the pack over 100 feet, the pack and cover were still in great shape.

Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
Comes in handy when weather starts to turn. Elevates water from bogging down the pack and making it much heavier. Very durable and has elastic strap that connects in the middle of pack which is very nice for the overall wrapping of the pack. There is an attached stuff sack that makes it much easier to pack. Has two holes at the bottom if water would happen to collect inside pack. Would not buy anything other than this product.

Comments about Gregory Seam Sealed Rain Cover:
I use the Large sized pack cover on my Osprey Aether 60, and it fits perfectly, even with the pack fully loaded, even with some extra gear strapped on the outside. I just finished a weekend trip, with 15 miles of hiking, 5 total hikers, which was through constant torrential rains. It never let up. Everyone had a pack cover, but my pack stayed the driest, by a long stretch. Also, the trails were completely overgrown, and we walked through dense foliage for about half the trip, constantly scraping against anything from tree limbs, to bushes, to thorns. It never showed a sign of tear.
I wish it had a better method of cinching it down around the pack, but other than that, an excellent product.
