I bought this helmet looking for something for commuting and recreational use, with good ventilation. I found that soon after I bought it, the helmet started flopping around on my head, even though I had it fully tightened. I later discovered that the helmet liner had come loose from the helmet. I re-attached it, and it came loose again after I dropped it on my floor after taking it off. It later came off again when I was just putting it on. The design is shoddy - the liner is held to the helmet by a nipple the size of the head of a pin and can break loose with minimal force. In my opinion this hemet is worthless. I returned it and bought another brand.

    Great Helmet! I like the design with all the angles and I like the fact the helmet doesnt stick out too much in the back. One of the least dorky looking ones around. It's about as compact as a helmet can be and still protect you. Is light and vents well. Buy the right size for you and it fits great. And, of course, NEVER buy a "universal" one-size-fits-all helmet -- that really means it won't fit (they really should be outlawed because they won't provide as good of protection.) This is a really good helmet. I'm going to buy another, in case this one ever gets tested (crash!).

      This helmet is comfortable and keeps my head cool. The fit is very good once you get it adjusted. After a crash on my mountain bike I returned home to find the helmet was smashed in the back and had a large crack running across the back. When I fell I was completely unaware that I had even struck my head! It saved me from a severe injury so I immediately went out and bought another one. I can't recommend it enough!

      I've used this for over 1500 miles, and it's great. The helmet offers around-the-head protection, aggressive MTB styling, and excellent ventilation. The helmet looks a bit large, like a mushroom, on your head, but doesn't look so large once you put on your cycling optics.

      However, the way the padding is designed inside, there's a nonpadded gap that runs from the front of the helmet to the back (imagine a mohawk from your forehead all the way back), so sweat will inevitably drip into your eyes. You could wear a skullcap or something to maybe stop that...I'm thinking of adding a little padding to cover that gap.

      Overall, though, I'm very happy!

        I purchased this helmet with the intent on keeping my noggin cool, and it certainly does that. On even the hottest days of cycling I have enjoyed its ample ventilation design. After more than 500 miles of trail and road cycling it has performed terrifically.

        Of all the helmets I've ever owned, this is my favorite. Great fit and ventilation. Actually looks pretty good too. The only caveat is that it's not very aerodynamic. I realize this is the trade-off for having such good ventilation (which I love), so I'm not complaining...just wanted to put it out there for anyone who's really concerned about this sort of thing.

        It's like an orange on a toothpick!

        This thing is perfectly comfortable, I even wear it for road cycling, to the chagrin of my buddies. The adjuster in the back lets me fit it to a skullcap on cold days, or with a sweat band on humid ones. I agree with the ad: muscular, progressive style with versatility and integrity.

        The visor is real flimsy, & it's only anchored on the wings. I'm not sure why giro does this but am fully prepared for it to snap off every time I hit a branch.

        Went on 1 trail ride and the helmet loosened up 4 times while riding. Whenever you go over an obstacle or bump your head moves back and the clasp would hit the back of my neck and loosen the helmet. Very poor design. It is also on the heavy side. It seems to have a little too much foam.

          The helmet looks a little big on me but it did "work" when I got in a crash (don't remember what happened). The ventelation is good, definetly better than the skate helmet I used before.
