      This is a very versatile garment. It can be used in a variety of sports (cycling, running, hiking, skiing, etc...), but can be used equally as casual wear. You can easily throw a sweater or sport coat over it and it works.

      Just keep in mind that if you are a person who gets hot quickly, the fabric is synthetic and will not feel as comfortable under a sweater as natural fibers would.

        This mid-weight product by REI is stellar. It just plain works. It feels great against the skin, provides warmth, and never feels heavy even when wet. I love that this comes in a long version for those tall ones that aren't big around the waist well. I wish it came in colors other than black, but it just simply works.

          I bought this for my boyfriend, and he loves it. He's 6'2" and usually a medium (read tall/thin). The sleeves are long enough, and it keeps him warm during runs in cooler weather. Based on his repeated comments about how much he likes it, I'd recommend it. How about some other colors, REI?

            This is my favorite piece of clothing to layer. 100 weight fleece is hard to find. Just right to wear around the house in the winter and won't make you sweat when worn under a gore-tex or windstopper outer. Sleeves are only slightly too long, but I'd rather roll them an inch than not have them cover. They stay at the wrist when riding my motorcycle, too.

                Good base layer for "layering" with various sports, such as skiing. Since it's made with polyester, it wicks perspiration away from skin to outer layer to provide good temperature control of body and comfort.

                Useful in many sports, such as skiing, biking, running, and more. The zippered neck provides additional body temperature control, and provides warmth for neck in cold temperatures.
