Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
Super lightweight, perfect for backpacking. Great for spring and summer, maybe Southern early Fall. I took it on the AT Georgia mid-Fall and was freezing, even with socks, pants, fleeces and a beanie on. Spend more and get a warmer bag.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
I used this sleeping bag for a trip to Michigan's upper peninsula in late October. We were right on the Lake Superior shore and I was uncomfortable in temperatures in the low 30's, even with long underwear, pants, a thick fleece top, a wool hat, and an REI Lite-Core 1.5 sleeping pad (r-value 3.3). I tend to sleep cold, but I needed something warmer than this bag even in +30 temperatures.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
I'm 5'2" and this bag is the perfect size for me - not too constricting but not too much extra air space to warm up. The only complaint I have is that rather than make the smaller women's version lighter than the men's, they made it warmer. I'm not a cold sleeper so I'd probably rather have the weight savings than the extra 5 degrees rating. If I was over 5'6" I'd definitely get the men's regular rather than the heavier women's long.
I do wish it came in a nicer color; that particular shade of lavender is hideous.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
My wife sleeps cold and in 45 deg weather would get cold in a 20 degree bag. We took this bag to the Tetons and the temp got down close to 45 deg and my wife slept so warm she had to unzip the bag durning the night.
Bag is also very light and very compressable goes great with the Ospery Atmos pack.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
This bag has served me well for overnight kayaking trips as well as general use for camping. I have been very impressed with its light weight and compression capability, which allows me to fit it inside a medium-sized drybag. Since it is a down bag, I have not been able to sleep outside in it without a cover due to dew or the possibility of ground moisture. The zipper has been somewhat troublesome because it catches in the fabric, but once zipped in, it provides suitable warmth.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
I am very happy with this bag. I had to peel clothes off in the middle of the night because I got so warm. I sleep hot, however, so if you sleep cold it may not work as well for you. It is extremely light weight and stuffs down to nothing. The material is very comfortable as well. For its price range, I would recommend this bag to anyone.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
This bag was atrocious. Temperature was in the 20s-30s and it did not keep me warm. The zipper got stuck in the fabric EACH and EVERY time I attempted to zip or unzip-maddening. Felt like a claustrophobic death trap.

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
Great for 40+ degree temps, but not a true rating for 15-30 degree conditions. LOVE: small pack size, super light, great for smaller-sized women (hard to find). NEED TO IMPROVE: Wicking system-taffeta seems to seal in moisture from breath leaving me feeling a bit "sticky" though I'm not sweating. Seams/stitching-I have used this bag for 2 extended summers and the feathers tend to "leak" from the stitching the end of 1st summer. Seams need reinforcement. Footbox-suggest adding a fleece-lined, wicking footbox to increase warmth in this area.
This bag is perfect for weekend campers, occasional extended trips and car camping in 40+ temps. Is not heavy-duty enough to withstand constant long-term, cold weather, backcountry use for more than 1 season.

I really loved this bag but I was cold in it despite temps around 30 degrees. I exchanged it for the -5 degree version. [...]

Comments about REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag - Women's Regular:
This bag is rated at 15 degrees however, I have been cold even at 40 degrees (and this was sleeping naked in order to take full advantage of downs ability to magnify warmth- I find that sleeping in long johns actually makes me colder). I have found that once compressed in the handy sack the warmth of the bag drops drastically. When it is just washed and dried and super fluffy I was down right hot in the bag. but if you are going hiking, you are going to compress it so I do not recommend this bag. I also find that the zipper snags all the time, but also unsnags easily and has never torn the bag.
