Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
I had been averaging a flat about every 3 weeks with the tires that came with my Trek DS 8.2. I bought one of these for the back and haven't had a flat in 5 months. After getting a flat on the old front tire, I replaced that with a Contact 700 about a month ago--so far no flats.
My commute features broken glass and other debris along the way, so I'm really impressed with these tires so far. I can't comment on the durability yet as I only have about 700 miles on the back tire. But I would definitely recommend these tires.

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
This is a great tire. It is affordable, it won't flat often, and it's great in the rain. Expect it to wear out after 2,000 miles on a loaded bike, probably 4,000 unloaded.

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
Have the 700x32 tries on my hybrid bike for 20 miles daily commuting. Great grip on Seattle's rainy streets and paths.
Have confidence that it will stick to the pavement as it's got some serious siping in the tread. Roll very fast too. Very happy with them.

6 flat tires in 3 months. Junk.

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
First off I found that the tire was pretty easy to mount, much easier than most of the other road tires I've been using. After mounting them I noticed they seemed pretty narrow. I purchased the 700x32 and on the caliper they came out to 27.6mm. These were about the same width of the 28mm Panaracer Ribmo's I was replacing. So I returned them to go up to the next size. The 700x37 ended up around 34mm. I didn't expect them to be spot on (as most tires aren't), but I didn't think they would be that far off.

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
I bought these at REI about a year ago to replace my OEM Kendas. Couldn't beat the price, although even at that time, the 28 was hard to find (28 is spec'd at 102 max PSI!). [...]. Now that I need another one, they're virtually impossible to find, in-store or online. In the 3500 miles that I put on these (the front is still in great shape, btw), the rear was taking nearly all the abuse. Sure, I suffered about a dozen flats over the year, but that's both road and paved trail wear...mostly on a busy expressway littered with all sorts of broken car parts, glass, pine cones, dead squirrels and other sharp junk with the tires always at max PSI. I eventually rode it bald with seemingly thousands more miles to go, until last week when the sidewall tore. R.I.P. Wish I could get my hands on this same tire.

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
I have an old classic steel frame Trek 700 hybrid for maybe 15 years now. I rode originally on the thicker knobby tires that came with the bike. For the typical street riding and paved trail riding I had done, they were uncomfortable, slow and stopped riding it years ago. So, when I decided to ride in a company sponsored 35 mile event with a local bike club, I had to get it tuned up and the flat dried out tires replaced. These Continentals came recommended by the store bike tech and one of the few options for the size I needed. I just finished the ride yesterday and these tires were great. They ride smoothly and a lot better than what I had. I can't speak to the durability yet, but there were no problems in the first 35 miles!

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
I have these on my commuter (Cannondale touring bike). They are a great tire for the price. I only have about 500 miles on them, but no flats so far. Great for flying over railroad tracks and potholes at high speed - things I would never attempt on my 700x23 tired road bike. Also, they are very good on gravel. However, they are kind of slow, due to the 85 psi max pressure rating, and the 32 width. Great low-cost commuting tires.

Comments about Continental Contact 700 Tire:
These tires were standard equipment on my 2010 Surly Long Haul Trucker. They have performed very well. I did not get my first flat until I was at 2,300 miles during my Southern Tier ride. Since then I have gotten one more flat but I do a lot of trail riding. I still have a lot of tread left and think that I should get 4,000 miles out of the tires before having to replace them. I had no problem removing and installing the tires on the rims as others have mentioned.

A Great Tire! 4,450 miles solo touring across the US and Canada and 0 flats.....a miracle and all for around $28. on sale at REI.......why pay more. My Surly came stock with these so I decided to stick with Brand and I'm glad I did.
