NO mention of SEPARATE heating element!
Bought on recommendation of an REI staff member based on my huge concerns of going into a summer desert 6 hour hike with temps going from apprx 30 degrees to 80+ degrees! Nowhere on the package nor from the staff member that "highly" recommended these was there mention of buying a separate heating unit. Needless to say I suffered greatly and threw them away, as I was on another continent & saw no reason to bring them back for a small refund.
Get these if you don't use custom insoles.
These work well with the Hotronic heating pads. No issues with installation. I don't use custom insoles so these replaced some cheap insoles I had used in my ski boots.
Game changer
This is the foot bed that pairs with the Hotronic heating system. I love my heated ski boots!
