    Great watch, but the bands are horrible. I have been wearing Ironmans for 10 years. The fastwraps seem to be the best for quality, 2, maybe 3 years. This band lasts about a year, my last one broke in 3 places by its 1 year anniversary. Beware, parts are hard to find and replace (light and so forth). I have had to buy new watches or go without certain functions, like the light, because replacement parts were more than the cost of the watch. Timex specifically make the bands so very few replacement bands fit it, except their own. [...]

    this is my first watch in about 5 years. it is very accurate and doesn't sit like a mountain on my wrist, its small enough so as not to be a nuisance. it may just be my bony wrist, but the strap is a bit uncomfortable after long periods of wear.

    I've been getting TIMEX triathlon watches for 20 years. Some of the new features I like are the better INDIGLO back light, the FLIX feature, and the multiple alarms. I've got to say though that I was majorly dissapointed that while this model has the 30 lap memory it must be used on the same event. My previous model (99lap FLIX) would let you store multiple events each with umpteen laps. That was nice because I could recall run times from last week to compare results. Additionally the finish wears off pretty easily and seems to not wash off as well as previous models (especially suntan lotion, bug juice, etc.).

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    simple and effective

    very comfortable and has worked great for me. no problems. great for the outdoors and working out/fitness. everything you need and nothing you dont (unless your one of those really techy people who want every little function) and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. ive been using it for climbing and fitness for the last couple years with no complaints (except that the alarm is too quiet for those early alpine starts) and no problems.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
