Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

This bottle was a great idea in theory. It is very easy to open one handed. It is great for biking and other activities.

This bottle is NOT good if you put in it a backpack or purse. It will open up and leak all over your stuff. Also it really needs to be kept upright. If it drops it will open and spill all over.

Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

I first saw this beauty [...], and because i've never seen it in use i had to get it!The first thing i did before i even purchased it was run to a water fountain and test the incongruous lid--and it leaked--not to much, but enough to notice. I bought it anyway and presented the problem (the leaky lid) to my girlfriend. Of course she is smarter then me sooo it took her all of three seconds to "pump the lid" after doing this, it didn't leak anymore. I threw a carabiner on the side and i take the bottle everywhere! A major downer though, especially for nalgene, if you drop it at the wrong angle the lid will pop off and you will lose your H2O.Other than that, i love it.

Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

A good tip is to get a replacement screw lid that fits the 32 oz Nalgene bottle. It is the same size, only costs a couple of bucks, and seals well. So it goes into your bag and won't leak.
Then when you get where you are going, change to the drinking lid.

Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

I have two of these bottles, and have had problems with the flip top on both of them coming open and the water spilling it. I'm not talking just a few little drops - the flip top opens and the ENTIRE bottle has spilled, on more than one occasion, in my backpack, purse, etc. This is a nice bottle for putting in a bike water bottle holder or using at the gym, but it is not practical to put inside a backpack, as it will come open and spill all over. If you want to toss it in a backpack, get one of the original nalgenes with the screw lid.

Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

I use this bottle everyday at the gym, when I go riding, and just around the house. The lid and cap aren't tight enough to really get rough with it, but in other ways it is perfect.

The smaller size fits much better in the hand than a 32oz bottle and the flip cap is just so much easier to use on the move.

Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

I use my water bottle everday while at school. Normally it works well, but if the lid opens, the water spills out all over. I also think the capacity is a little small. Overall this is a good water bottle with minor problems.

Comments about Nalgene OTG Bottle - 24 oz.:

The lid is not leak-proof. Carrying it in a bag while walking briskly jostles the liquid enough to leak out of the lid. I now use this bottle as a bike bottle, and I love the flip-top lid (I hate squeeze bottles). I also love that it imparts no plastic taste to my water.

I got these for my son (1 yr. old) to put his formula in while hiking etc. when he was younger. The lid design is weak and doesn't seal well. We only use them in the home now.
