      I've only worn these pants twice. The first time was in the rain and they kept me pretty dry (as hoped).

      Today I wore them as an extra layer against the strong and cool wind. It's not super cold (maybe 40s/50s) and I was overheating. These pants don't breathe as expected!!! I'm seeking other pants.

      If all you need is "sometimes" pant for short trips, these are fine, but not good for longer treks when breathability is a must.

      These rain pants aren't extraordinary, but they get the job done in wet Seattle commutes. The ankle velcro strips cinch them down tightly enough that I don't need another band to keep them out of my chain. Easy to get on and off over shoes and other clothing, roomy enough in the knees and seat that they don't bind while riding. They dry reasonably quickly but don't seem as breathable as advertised. In general I wear them layered over capilene tights and bike shorts. They're fine for a long ride in cold weather, but I would be concerned about overheating in them when it starts getting warmer and I still need to stay dry.

        Just the thing to keep rain and wind off. It's the pants equivalent of my cycling rain/wind jacket. Fabric is light and crinkly, not rubbery at all. Remember when wearing any windproof cycling garment to dress lightly underneath -- when your body heat is held in, you don't need much of an insulating layer.
