Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Zip-T - Men's:
I wear one of these on my daily bicycle commute in the fall, winter, and spring. Comfort and durability cannot be exaggerated. Beyond that there are benefits that make it better than any other thermal underwear you'll ever own.
I only own one. I wash it every couple weeks by hand. It dries overnight just hanging around. It never stinks.
It has lasted over a year so far and is showing no sign of wearing out.
SmartWool is well worth the money invested. If the high price makes you cringe, ask yourself some questions.
1. Do you mind smelling like a barnyard animal?
2. How many poly shirts you need to carry on long trips to keep from smelling like a barnyard animal?
3. How many poly shirts you need to own to avoid smelling like a barnyard animal between wash days?
4. How much money will all those poly shirts cost you to avoid smelling like a barnyard animal?
5. Isn't there something else you'd rather pack in your bag than a bunch of shirts that smell like a barnyard animal?
Carry one shirt, make it SmartWool.
NO, I am not affiliated with, nor do I own stock in SmartWool. I'm just another sold customer.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Zip-T - Men's:
I wear this as a base layer for weeks at a time. The merino wool feels great, doesn't itch, breathes well, wicks moisture, and controls odor. I can think of no negatives to this, other than the stitching came out of the cuff after 3 months of wear. A little needle and tread and it is as good as new. The zipper does a great job of regulating temp and it layers fantastically under fleece or down

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Zip-T - Men's:
I had never owned a wool shirt up to this point, after reading the reviews and realizing I could benefit from a better base layer on trips I checked this out. I am definitely glad I did! The fit is great and the thickness is just enough to keep you warm. My new favorite, definitely worth the price! One of the great things about SmartWool is the fact it can be washed with your other clothes without shrinking! As others mentioned, this doesn't itch and keeps you warm when you need it. A+! I always recommend SmartWool to friends after this! Try it yourself! :)

I have had this sweater for 18 months and it is always my "go to" garment for hiking, cycling, gardening, and even casual dining. I wash it in the automatic washer with all my other outdoor clothes almost weekly and hang it over a chair to dry overnight.
Highly recommended -- I just ordered another one.

This shirt does it all! I bought some wool baselayers mainly for outdoor cycling in cooler weather and fell in love with them. Smart Wool makes the best wool shirt I've worn. I now use these shirts for bicycling, weight lifting, office wear, and casual wear. These shirts are fantastic! Expensive, but worth every penny.

I have never loved clothing the way I love my SmartWool base layers. I combine this with the SmartWool micro bottoms for all my cold-weather activities. For cold weather hiking, this top, a fleece vest, and an ultralight windshirt are all I need to stay comfortable while moving. The zip is a priceless feature, allowing fantastic temperature control.
As many have noted, the ability of SmartWool products to eliminate odor is near miraculous. Over the course of a week, I have worn this cross-country skiing, fast hiking, sleeping, camping, and casually with a pair of jeans. After a week of such daily use, it feels and smells just fine. Get rid of your synthetics, get a SmartWool baselayer, and live better.

When I was a kid I hated wool (it made me itch)! This Merino Wool doesn't do that. It is warm, it breaths, it DOESN'T itch, and best of all it doesn't stink. I wore this for a week long mountaineering trip and it didn't smell one little bit.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Zip-T - Men's:
I bought this two weeks ago for my bicycle commute in the Minnesota fall. It's very comfortable and warm under a wind breaker/rain coat. So far I haven't had any problem staying warm in 30-50 degree weather and if anything have been too warm. Combined with a relatively non-breathable rain coat, it's really too warm to wear above 50 degrees. The best part of this shirt is that once I remove my coat, I start cooling down immediately and don't feel wet at all, because it has wicked my perspiration very well. It's wet, but doesn't feel wet and is warm but not overly warm--just right. Finally, it doesn't smell like synthetic fabrics, so I can wear it all week. I would definitely recommend the zipper version of this, because zipping or unzipping the collar really helps regulate your heat when exercising.

This long sleeve T is very comfortable, soft and fits well, it also looks really smart (cool).
It is light weight, washes easily and dries quickly, I would buy it again.
A zipped pocket would make it perfect.
