Comments about OnGuard Rottweiler Cable Lock - 18mm:

I bought this for my bike more than five years ago and consider it bombproof. I had it on my desk the other day & it found my coworker seriously remarking, "this is serious." Yes, it's serious. Granted, I don't have the nicest ride, but I have locked my bike up all over Portland and Seattle in the meantime with no worries. The light up key for this lock broke almost immediately, and one key bent out of shape from overuse, but I still have 3 left and you can get replacements. Some of the plastic where the lock connects to the cable broke off, but I think it's not a problem as far as security is concerned. The housing also cracked from folding the thing when it was really cold, but there is electrical tape. I know this is sounding like a lot of buts, BUT I feel like it's held up well for the amount of use it gets (& in all weather). I like that it's long so I can lock it up to things that U-lock users only dream of. I wear the thing like a sash while riding and feel pretty [*].
