Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
I have multiple chalk bags, but I use this one in the gym. Outdoor I use a bag made of a thicker material that can withstand a bit more abuse. I do think this is a cheaper construction than some of my other bags, but for in the gym it's not too bad. I don't think this one would hold up as well. I've been using mine for about two years or so and haven't had any problems. I climb at the gym at least once a week, so it sees at least weekly use. I haven't had a problem with spilling, but I use a chalk sock, so that probably helps. I'm not super rough on my equipment, but it does get thrown around and smashed into walls occasionally. The plastic hasn't broken, and overall the bag has held up well. I like that there is a brush holder, I use that to attach to my harness. I rarely use the belt (bouldering only), but I haven't had any problems with that either. Nothing to rave about, but also nothing to complain about.

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
This was my first chalk bag and even though I now use a bigger bag for outdoors I still grab this one for the gym or bouldering. Personally I don't like the belts that most chalk bags come with and with this bag the loops on the back meant for the belt to go though provide an excelt place for a carabiner. It is great for a sock or ball but loose chalk does tend to fall out. There was some concern by others as to the durability but I have been using this bag for 6 years and it is holding up like the day I bought it. Good bag for starting out.

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
This is my first chalk bag. I bought this one mainly because the price was right and I cant afford much. I use a chalk sock, so no problems with spilling, and I've found that it being a little less than stiff is nicer when falling off a boulder. All in all, may not be great for anyone advance, but pretty good for those starting out or on a budget. And you can always replace clips pretty cheap at any surplus store.

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
This is my first chalk bag. It closes very tightly, so it hasn't leaked. I haven't had any problems with it yet, but the other reviews make me wonder how long it will last.

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
After 8 months of consistent climbing, the plastic clamp on the drawstring broke. Based on the rest of the reviews, this is not an individual issue. In addition, I have had several instances where the belt clip becomes undone during climbs. Once the chalk bag even landed on my belayer's head! Fortunately, this was in an indoor 40 ft wall, not an outdoor 100 ft sport climb. Do yourself a favor and go for the higher quality bags.

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
Great for the climber who knows that the expensive bags really don't offer that much more. It comes with the waistbelt for non-harnessed climbs. Has a brush holder. And is stylish
When left un-tightened, it offers a little more chance for chalk spillage, but not much. Pulls and seals tight when moving from route to route to prevent any spills whatsoever.
Great if you want to get a cheap one and keep it. Go for it!

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
Plastic part on drawstring broke after several weeks of almost daily use. I would recommend this bag for someone who goes climbing every once in a while. However, if you climb frequently get a better bag.

Nice chalk bag for the price. No issues with it at all except maybe it could be slightly larger. Economical bag.

Comments about Mad Rock Koala Chalk Bag:
This product sells for less than other chalk bags for a reason. It is made of cheap equipment. The plastic piece that connects the ends of the drawstring broke after three weeks of climbing and the friction adapter on the drawstring broke on the fourth week. It fits my hand well, but chalk spills out all the time when doing aggressive, dynamic moves. I prefer a stiffer chalk bag, but this one is flimsy and unable to stand on its own. I am definitely returning it to REI and getting a better one. Thank God for REI's good customer care.
