Comments about Charmin To Go:
I brought a few rolls of this on my 4-month stay studying abroad in Mali, West Africa, where the typical "toilet" situation is a hole in the ground with a teapot of water with which to wash yourself after.
Good to bring anywhere tp may be scarce (i.e. public toilets), by anyone whose happiness depends on that of staunch believers in tp's access to said amenity (including one's self, as the case may be).
Roll is about 50 sheets of Charmin tp. Budgeting/rationing for trips or multiple people is important. Comes wrapped in on itself rather than on a tube, so roll's diameter will shrink with every use. Plastic packaging it comes in is intended to be retained to keep tp clean/intact/easy to dispense. However, if packaging is kept, initial volume of product won't shrink with use as packaging is somewhat rigid. May want to bring this tp in a resealable plastic bag instead of original packaging, which can be somewhat flimsy and becomes unnecessarily bulky as roll shrinks.
Alternatively, you could tear off and fold up a long strip of your own tp and keep it in a resealable plastic bag, though it might not be as compact or traditionally dispensable as this.

Comments about Charmin To Go:
This is great for those who don't want to bother packing their own tp. Just throw this in your bag and you're set. It comes with a dispenser, if that's important.
If you're willing to invest a little bit of effort, just roll your own and put it in a ziplock bag. You likely already have a roll of tp around the house, and you can roll your own while you're waiting for your food dehydrator to do its thing. I rolled a bunch of these and had enough for a 3 week trip to SE Asia with family. Each person had their own roll, so there was no need to really share. YMMV on how many rolls you can make from a single regular TP roll. I think I got at least 4 or 5.
Back home, I keep a roll in each pack for dayhikes and trips to the beach (sometimes the facilities are not quite maintained).
That may be more work than folks are willing to do, and it is certainly convenient to just buy this and off you go. And it is definitely better than not bringing anything.
I use the $ I saved by rolling my own to buy a carne asada burrito.

Lots of packaging without much benefit...all you really need is the paper.
