Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
I bought these water shoes a little while back to replace the cheapo pair of drugstore brand water shoes I lost in my first swim down a class III- rapid after flipping while whitewater kayaking in a hardshell for the first time.
Since then I've used them half a dozen times while whitewater kayaking and they have worked out great. They are comfortable, durable and the velcro on top along with the pull cord in the heel keep them firmly on your feet...even through a subsequent class III rapid swim :)

Can't comment on long term durability but they've held together a year without signs of wear. Used them tubing on the Guadalupe River, several kayak touring trips, and in surf-zone while in Destin, FL. Love the comfortable fit without the concern of having them ripped off from water current. Even when pushing down into beach or sandy river bottoms I experienced minimal "sand invasion". Love these booties.

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
My husband and I each bough a pair of these for a rafting trip. We have both done a bit of canoeing/rafting in the past but never had the 'proper' water-shoes before (always used sandals with straps). We were very happy with our purchase. The shoes are very comfortable, have pretty decent traction (still have to be careful on slippery rocks, but that's the case with any footwear)and the biggest plus was that my feet were warm even when wet. It was a cold rainy day out on the whitewater, and though other parts of my body would get wet and cold throughout the day, my feet were always warm. Overall a great product, well worth the <$40 investment.

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
VEry good shoes, I owned these for the past 4 years & use them on my sensitive bare feet to protect against rocks, glass, etc onshore. I use these a lot. The heels provided enough protection for spreading the pressure you'd feel on your heels while kayaking. Reasonable protection against cold, but for colder temps I wear a higher top shoe or add a wool sock.
The cord-locked cinch at the back of the heel works well enough on my ankles to keep out most sand and anything bigger.
I'd prefer more rubber to cover the neoprene to reduce the neoprene the wind can act on to chill my feet.
worth buying again.

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
These water shoes are well built and seem to be very durable. They cushion my feet well even when carrying my kayak while on a hard surface. They provide good traction and fit well. They are superb in every way compared to my old pair of water shoes.
I brought these to replace a cheap pair of water shoes that were worn out.

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
I have size 11.5 feet and paddle a sea kayak with a low-profile foredeck...meaning that when I wear river sandals like Keens or Tevas, my feet are pinned between the kayak's floor and deck. These shoes are at least 3/4 inch shorter than my Keens, so I've finally got the freedom of movement that I need for comfort and easy use of my rudder pedals. And compared to a traditional neoprene booty, the NRS Kickers offer better traction, stability and a much more comfortable sole (it actually has a "gel" kind of a feel to it).Haven't had them long, but they've been perfect the two times I've used them. Can't attest to their durability, but expect that - like most things made/sold by NRS - they'll last for years.Found them more comfortable and better made than the Teva version (which cost more at [$]). Note: round up to the next higher size. Size 12 was perfect for my 11.5 feet. Plenty of toe wiggle room for a wide-footed paddler like me.

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
The only difficult thing about these shoes is that they are hard to get on. I didn't mind this because they were great at keeping the sand out and that is why they have a snug fit at the ankle.

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
The comments about sizing are inaccurate. I normally wear a size 11 or 11 1/2 and so I ordered a size 12. They are way too big, so I'm returning them for a size 11. Nice shoes, they are comfortable and fairly wide so your toes have wiggle room. My advice would be to just order your normal shoe size. I can't imagine anyone having trouble getting them on or off... the neoprene stretches quite a bit. If anything, I would want them to have a snugger fit.

The shoes are fine (my wife has worn hers for over a year and is very satisfied) but these shoes run VERY SMALL. I wear a shoe size 9 and had to return these shoes b/c of size. Order these shoes 1 or 2 sizes larger than your regular shoe size!

Comments about NRS Kickers Neoprene Shoes - Unisex:
WARNING: These shoes are sized very small. Ifyou want to avoid the extra expense of returningand reordering (for me it amounted to an additional$17, which makes them no bargain) order a size larger than your shoe size. I normally wear a size 7 1/2, and size 8 was painfully small.
