The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves - Unisex:
I'm a whitewater kayaker and I have two pairs of these gloves and have used them at least a dozen or so times. Unlike other reviewers I haven't had an issue with the stitching.
As far as use goes these are great for late spring, summer, early fall paddling. The keep my hands warm and offer great grip and comfort. These are NOT cold weather gloves. They're only .5mm thick. I have some 2mm gloves for cold weather and even those can be thin at times.
Use them for what they're made for, a good 2 season glove, and you'll love them! unless you have stitching problems I guess :)

Took at pair of these to a kayaking trip in Alaska in July, and they did NOT keep my hands warm at all. The water was really cold but I expected them to at least keep my hands from going numb, but they didn't. The inside seems of the fingers chafed a little when wet too. They did grip well but I would only use these again for warm waters.

Comments about NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves - Unisex:
I paddle in lakes a couple of times a week year round. I bought these thinking they would keep my hands warm in the winter and they do not. They are very comfortable until they get wet. Then they are more like a sponge than a wet suit.

Comments about NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves - Unisex:
I bought a pair of these 3 years back when I attended a spring White water class. They worked great in the icy spring river water when I was very active.
After that I used them that fall when I was fitness paddling. I used them extensively and as I was mostly fitness paddling, and working hard they always kept my hands warm enough.
As winter came on and the water got colder, and the winds picked up, I found that on the coldest days my hands would get cold, thats when I discovered pogies :)
They are wonderfully thin, and flexible, and provide excellent grip on my paddle without being too delicate to take plenty of abuse.
I have used them since then on multiple sea kayak trips, and they are still going strong.
I would strongly recomend this glove, but its not going to work for everyone, everywhere. Use it where it shines ( in warmer conditions) and know when to switch to pogies, or a thicker glove.

These started out fine for warm weather paddling. But first pair I had, the seams in one glove gave way after a few trips. REI nicely exhanged them but second pair is having same problem again with not that much use...even saw a pair on the rack in the store with the seam unraveling. Quality is an issue here.

I had these on a 40 day canoe trip in the Northwest Territories. Five of us had these gloves and by about the third day of use all of them had come apart at places along the seams. They were relatively warm and very comfortable, but they were returned for a refund as soon as I got back.

Comments about NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves - Unisex:
My husband and I purchased this for winter paddling (dragon boating), but does not provide as much protection as we would like. It does keep our hands a little warmer than they normally would be without any gloves at all, but water does penetrate and does not dry quickly. My husband still used the gloves in the summer time for better grip on his paddle and I will continue to use mine in the winter until I find a better pair.

Comments about NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves - Unisex:
I was very unhappy with these gloves. For me the worst part is the seam that runs along the thumb to the index finger. Many experienced paddlers develop a large callous right at the base of the thumb. At least for me that seam ran right across the top of the callous so rather than protecting the crotch of the thumb/hand, they made wear in that area much worse.
Seams on these gloves are not sealed at all so they do fill with water and drain water quite quickly thus the layer of water surrounding my fingers never warmed up. When the water was cold, and the air was cold, my hands were cold.
The grip on the paddle is excellent, but due to the seams I will not be using these gloves again.

These are good gloves, even when the stitching starts to rip out. While I still own and use these gloves, there are various small holes starting after 5 uses of less than 2 hours per session. Lame :-/

Comments about NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves - Unisex:
Loved the gloves and the grip, good protection in spring run-off. But had stitching gave way after the 2nd run down the Kaweah. By the 3rd run, decided to return.
If it weren't for the obvious quality problems, I would recommend these.
